  • "Im just gonna go ahead and slip that in" (;

  • does installing an e-grip void the warranty?

  • @sharkbait952 No :) installing an E-Grip does not void the warranty. Tippmann is pretty awesome when it comes to their products and what you can do with them. So feel free to be worry free my friend. -Russell

  • Question: is the semi automatic action on the e-grip still part of the electronic configuration? Basically i am asking whether or not semi auto is electronic or not?

  • @theprincemachiavell1 The only paintball markers in existence with electronic full/semi and a mechanical semi mode at the same time are the X7 Phenom and Tippmann's newest marker the Crossover. Every other electronic marker out there has their semi-auto mode electronically. Sorry if that was more answer than you were looking for, I just love that the Phenom and now the Crossover have that functionality. - Trevor

  • Do you install the E-grip on the marker before you send the package from the store if there is an pack where it says it is E-grip. Like in the alpha black tactical packages?

  • @sladslype We only install upon request and payment of a tech fee. Otherwise everything comes in the package factory sealed. However, the tippmann packages with E-Grip markers come with them installed from the factory. For instance the Alpha Black Tactical E-Grip Juggernaut Pack comes with a factory sealed Alpha Black Tactical E-Grip. Hope that helps!

  • Hustle paint ball! I'm thinking of buying another gun I just got my Alpha Black, how about the X36 X7 Phenom? would you recommend this gun?

  • @Edipo48 Any Phenom is a fantastic choice! The different looks don't affect performance, if the X36 is your favorite then go with that!

  • does e grip off mean semi auto thanks im a bit of a paintball rookie if the answer is obvious

  • @jamster111222333 The Phenom is the only electronic marker in existence that does not need to be on to fire in a semi-auto mode. All other electronic markers including the Alpha Black have to be powered on before they will fire. Hope that helps.

  • can someone help mee , my side cocker wont go back. its always cocked :/

  • @NaturalNature100 Make sure the gun is put together correctly, that you've got a fresh battery installed, and you should be all set. If you've got a defective E-Grip kit, give Tippmann a call at (800) 533-4831 and they will take care of you.

  • ocen you put the E-grip do you need a special hopper ?

  • @compean20 Yes, you'll definitely want to get either a Cyclone Feed System or an electronic auto-feeding hopper, otherwise you won't be able to shoot as fast as the E-Grip will allow you to.

  • is their a marker for this gun where it comes with a e/grip installed for u already

  • @Rampage851 Yes, the Alpha Black Tactical E-Grip is an available marker, check out our website for it!

  • thanks very helpful

  • Is e-grip and e-trigger the same thing

  • @KrazyKillProductions Yes, they are. :)

  • Can I put any type of Tippmann Responce Trigger system in the alpha black

  • @charbonneau482 The Alpha Black does not accept the Response Trigger but will work great with the E-Grip.

  • is there an egrip for the jt tactical m4a1?

  • @aapracer There is not an electronic trigger made for this marker at this time.

  • Shit! this video made me realize my ball latch is missing! Will the balls roll out?

  • @Quick16Silva hell yes

  • what shuld i buy for the bt omega ??

  • @Louxtoxicxmorphine You can't really, you can get a Rip clip, but there is no e-grip upgrade for the Omega, it was not designed to be able to use one.

  • what egrip should i buy for a carver one?

  • @ronken20011 The e-grip for the 98 custom will work on a Carver One

  • @HustlePaintball : Hi, I've followed you'r instructions to install my E-Grip kit on my Bravo One... the semi-automatic and the burst mode are both working good but when I switch my gun to automatic or full automatic mode, it shoots like if it was on the semi-automatic mode... could you tell me how to fix that problem?

    Thanks

  • @Fil007kk you have to pull it quickly 3 or 4 times and hold it, then it will shoot full auto until you let go of the trigger, the you do the same to go back in full auto

  • @Fil007kk Give Tippmann Sports a call at (800) 533-4831 and they will take care of you. Let me know if you need anything else.

  • can i get this done at like a pro shop at the paintball field

  • @justinfroot Yes, your local shop should be able to install it for you - you can also send it to us and we can install it for you if you don't want to do it yourself. Just let us know!

  • I other words does it add anything to semi auto mode??

  • @tbharber Even though most high-end guns have electronic triggers, most people will not use full-auto, because it's kind of boring. Adding an electronic trigger will give you an extremely light trigger pull, allowing you to shoot much more rapidly, even in semi-auto mode only. You'll notice a HUGE improvement in rate of fire.

  • @HustlePaintball do you guys sell a e trigger for the 98 custom pro platinum

  • @loku1125 Yes we do. I'll PM you a link to it.

  • I'm my field does not allow auto is there any point to adding an e-trigger???

  • would the a5/x7 on/off switch work on the alpha black with the e-grip?

  • @MrYoungsir10 The Rufus Dawg Switch Pad will not fit without major modification to the switch pad and the grip.

  • @HustlePaintball that sucks!!! and im guessing the a5 receivers wont fit on the AB either. LOL. someone needs to create a switch for us Army guys/gals

  • @MrYoungsir10 With the need that exists and with Rufus Dawg stepping up we can hope that something will be here soon.

  • I took mine apart for the first time yeasterday. I had no clue what I was doing at first but after 5 mins it was easy to see how it all worked. The quick release spring was the tricky part when putting it back together. It's has to sit just right and you can't tighten the screw too much or the release won't work.

  • Im just getting into paintball and ordered a project salvo and i was curious do i have to have a cyclone feed for the egrip to work or does it matter

  • @TBONEz96 No, it does not matter.

  • how much is the e grip

  • @ANDY7THE7GAMER I've sent you a PM.

  • @TheUnbeatableGreek The E-Grip version does come with a 9 volt battery.

  • @TheUnbeatableGreek It uses a 9 volt battery. The Alpha Black Tactical can be purchased as an E-Grip model or upgraded.

  • I'm getting this gun in a couple days in the mail. I am planning on installing an egrip and saw the annotation about removing the metal slider and spring from the back of the trigger. I Have no idea what those are so my question is will they be visible and marked in the manual so I can identify them and not screw my gun up?

  • @mustachejoe2 Yes, they will be marked in the manual - you can always call us if you have any other questions!

  • Nice demo here, I think honestly I'll stick with a non e-gripped Sierra 1

  • @MI6CORPORAL Glad we could help you make an informed decision.

  • @HustlePaintball Thanks for putting the video up here eh? do you guys now of any low profile hoppers? I just don't like that $10 one that makes the marker look like a skyscraper?

  • @MI6CORPORAL Pinokio Hoppers Makes One with a very low profile

  • @techreviewer27 Sounds good to me man, I'll check them out

  • i got this e trigger thinger on my alpha blcak...... it really sucks when your in a game trying to get ready to start and you have to stop so you can stick the dunm stick to turn on the button.. there should be a button that is easier to access. and rememebr that id you press down to hard you will crack your board and kiss goodbye to those 100$ you just spent :(

  • I've noticed on the project salvo egrip tutorial you guys removed part of the trigger mechanism... I know both markers are identical - was it not nessessary for the alpha black for some reason? Your help is always appreciated.

  • @ghost210 Both markers are identical so any differences between the videos were inconsequential.

  • this will wrk for the carver one too right??????

  • @cruzinator62989 Yes it will! :)

  • I got an alpha black basic and this helps alot! I prefer without the stock just because i think it looks cooler that way

  • @HustlePaintball There is a an e-grip on the tippmann website under U.S. army paintball is that one only for the other U.S. Army markers. I'm new to this and I just got my Carver one. I dont know what upgrades work for it though.

  • @chipmunk1 The US Army E-Grip Kit (T206002) will fit the Carver One and all of the US Army line of markers.

  • @HustlePaintball thanks for the help

  • @chipmunk1 All of the custom 98 upgrades will work for the carver one.

  • Will this egrip work for the Carer one?

  • after you put this in, can u use an co2 tank or an n2 tank? then do u have to have electric hopper for the e-grip?

  • @brennanheart101 You can always use either, no matter what upgrades you have, though compressed air is always best. An electronic hopper or cyclone feed will be necessary to keep up with the higher rates of fire, yes.

  • @HustlePaintball thank you for the help

  • @brennanheart101 both tanks it doesnt matter and you definitly need a electric hopper or a cyclone feed so it will keep up with the gun

  • @Vmoneyx20 thank you for the help

  • @brennanheart101 dude DONT use co2 you might mess your electronics only hpa

  • you should put the link to the first video on this on eand vise versa

  • to make the gun work do u have to put a 9v baterry? well i have the egrip one but today i try to use it just with a CO2 tank and it doesnt work so i need to pu a baterry so it shoots?

  • @Airborne488 yes, the battery operates the solenoid and makes the trigger work.

  • @FunLovingPie You switch firing modes with ta simple push of the hex key, each push cycles you through the firing modes.

  • is the tactical edition semi or fully automatic or both

  • @bryolijosh Without the E-grip the Alpha Black is semi auto, after installation it has both.

  • I would still like to know whats the difference between the USARMY etrigger, and The 98custom etrigger....Can you please tell me? It cant be just the armature pin length

  • @Final7Wrath Please check out your PM inbox for more info.

  • @HustlePaintball Nothing in my PM

  • The E-Grip is a great way to add versatility to your marker. The selectable firing mode will help you suit your marker to your specific style of play.

  • Deff getting an e-grip.. Would you recommend it?

  • can you use the gun with the e-grip turned off

  • @Byrnsey251 Unfortunately you cannot, the marker won't work without the e-grip kit on. Let me know if you have any other questions!

  • will this egrip work on the carver one?

  • @Chrome84 Yes, it will.

  • @Chrome84 You would need to get the e-grip for the Carver One

  • Can you use this Egrip with the Project Salvo because im going to pick one up soon and was wondering if i should get this too?

  • @MrKooldude60 Yes it works on the project salvo.

  • With this new e trigger installed do I need to buy a speed loader hopper to load my paintball quicker?and how come my gun shoots only automatic?I can't shoot semi it shoots fully automatic when I have the air tank in

  • @alvan19880725 Either an electronic hopper or a cyclone feed will work just fine. There are four firing modes, two full-auto (12 and 15 bps) semi, and three round burst. You are probably just on a firing mode and don'[t know how to change it, you use the same button you use to turn it on and off, just press it once.

  • having some trouble with my e-grip the red light is on soo i figured the battery died like it should but i bought new batteries and tried two brand new ones but soon as i changed them the red light turned back on and when i pull the trigger it turns off any idea of what could be happening ?

  • @zStone941 I've sent you a PM.

  • If the E Grip is off, will it still shoot?

  • @BadAssBusDriver No, it will need to be on to fire.

  • @BadAssBusDriver so which one is better the E grip or just the normal one.

  • @El7IncA I was going to get the E grip but your not allowed to use it in most places

  • @BadAssBusDriver why not?...

  • @El7IncA the E Grip has an option to be fully automatic, and thats not allowed.

  • @BadAssBusDriver oh i see...i dont know if u are not allow to use it here in canada.

  • so do i take that metal thing off the trigger or no?

  • @justinpiu Yes.

  • can u change fire modes

  • @mersky With an E-Grip installed, yes, you can change firing modes.

  • got that all down. thx

  • wow thats easy i thought it was gunna be so hard

  • where do you buy the e trigger

  • there isn't a new kit is there

  • @Corbster17 I'm not exactly sure what you mean by a new kit.

  • @HustlePaintball i mean there isnt a new e-grip kit

  • Will you guys see if the project salvo recivers fit the alpha black

    Thank's

  • @Dyldan100 The Internals are the same with both guns, the only difference is that the Salvo is made to be able to use the response trigger.

  • IS THERE ANy way you guys could do a short vid imm still confused and i really want my e grip on it .......if so thanks

  • @4118goblue sent you a pm

  • Hey PLEASE HELP......... I get everything but at the part where it says for optimal performance and has it saying take oout these parts ....I AM SOOO CONFUSED can u help and or make a small video showing me If so THanks...

  • @4118goblue It is referring to the metal portion on the back of the trigger and the spring behind it.

  • I own this marker with the egrip kit installed and I have 1 major thing to point out relating to the metal parts attached to the back of the trigger.

I watched this and all the while I'm wondering when she is going to remove the metal parts from the trigger. Finally, I see the blurb about "Optimal Performance" and was kinda shocked that it is considered "optimal".

Obviously this was mentioned by a viewer, but it seems like the importance is being understated.

  • Comment removed

  • @AdamBenoit Let me tell a short story...

I installed this kit (without this video, I did this last summer) and forgot to remove these parts. Bad move, I went to the field with an untested marker.

When I tried to chrono the marker, it wouldn't stop full auto even though it was in semi. I thought the bolt and sear were slipping from too much oil so I stripped it and cleaned it.

Tried to chrono again, same problem. I played with a field marker that day.

  • @AdamBenoit Went to the local shop ( Tactical Sports In Barrie, Ontario )and described my problem to Matt. He told me what the problem was and I went home and fixed it.

I had installed and Anti chop bolt from my 98 to try to counter act and chopping with the Halo hopper and the full auto modes.

Once the full auto issue was fixed, the bolt kept slipping off the sear.

  • @AdamBenoit

Turns out that in the short time I was trying to chrono the marker, the bolt and sear had some wear and combined the two were slipping. Replacing the original bolt and no more slipping.

    The morel of the story:

Removing these parts are not a recommended step. It is REQUIRED if you do not want to void your warranty. Under the part that says if something is not installed according to instructions, they are not responsible for the damages.

  • how much can the battery live? srry my BAD grammath, im mexican

  • @hecto95 20,000 shots are what the battery should provide you with before having to replace it.

  • goddamn.... women+pintball=NOT impossible...holy shit

  • can you still fire semi-auto if the battery dies?

  • @shallah777 No, you can only do that with the X7 Phenom

  • @HustlePaintball ok thanks...

  • Does this also work on the Project Salvo?

  • @NickIsOriginal Yes this does work for the Project Salvo.

  • this has been one of the best mod tutorials for my alpha black I have seen.

  • @reaperman1982 Thank you very much!

  • wheres the button to change it from semi to auto?

  • @SSCJpros It is located below the trigger

  • can you have a show on how to clean alpha black in details? or is there any website that teaches us to do. Most videos are not clear. thanks

  • when it says you should take out the metal slider and spring from the back of the trigger.....does it just slide out and do i have to put anything else in its place??????

  • @dirtbikedewdmann77 You do not have to put anything else in place. YOu just remove it and that is it.

  • can u install double trigger on bravo one???

  • @Ducks314 Yes, but you have to chop off the single trigger guard because it is a part of the actual receiver.

  • Is that the same way to install a E trigger for a tippmann 98 custom platinum

  • @ZEUSFURY1987 It is very similar but not the exact same.

  • @HustlePaintball what would be the difference in the installation

  • @ZEUSFURY1987 They are virtually identical, once the guns are taken apart, the only difference is that you have to punch out a hole to install the battery on the Alpha Black Tactical.

  • does the alpha black E-grip kit fit on the tippmann alpha black tactical digital camo m16 paintball gun????????????????

  • @dirtbikedewdmann77 Yes, the Alpha Black E-Grip kit will fit.

  • @HustlePaintball kool thank you

  • everything you did! does that all work for the (tippmann 98 custom 2004)

  • @96joejoe Yes, but you want the Tippmann 98 E-Grip kit, and not the Alpha Black E-grip kit.

  • @HustlePaintball do you need a cyclone feed to use the e grip? or only for full auto?

  • @keepthegoodtimesgoin You do not "need" one, but you will want a faster hopper. Whether it be an electronic hopper or a cyclone feed.

  • is this the same on project salvo?

  • Can you use a tippmann 98 customs response trigger kit and install it on a alpha black?

  • @fishbreeder45 No, those are not compatible.

  • Just finished upgrading my Project Salvo. It all works perfectly and is put back together. Thanks for the tutorial; it's so much easier than the instructions.

  • @Jacobise Glad we could help! Be sure to email us at videos@hustlepaintball if you have any suggestions or idea for videos you'd like to see in the future!

  • how do you change firing modes (burst, full auto, and single shot)

  • @supersniper180 You change the firing mode by using an allen wrench or some other similar tool to push (not hold it down) the power button on the grip and cycle through modes.

  • Nope, there's no difference.

  • It turns your Alpha Black into an electronic marker, it will give your marker 5 firing modes, 2 of which are full auto. You can turn it off or on with a button on the grip, you have to use an allen wrench or some other tool to do so.

  • with out e grip is it cock action, or is it how many times you can pull the trigger?

  • Without the E-Grip you cock it once before you fire, and then it is full semi-auto, cocking itself with each pull of the trigger.

  • is it full auto without e grip?

  • No It is not. It is only full auto if there is the kit or if you're able to pull the trigger that fast :)

  • i have the bravo one and i want a new barrel for it

what is the longest i can get for the bravo one ?

  • The most Optimal barrel length for any paintball marker is 14".

  • does the package come with the little "E" sticker to put on the grip?

  • Generally, no, but we've got those on our website. Search for "Tippmann Pro E Grip Jewel - 98 (#TA05013)" on our website. They're only a few bucks.

  • i just bought it today one question if i dont use battaries its still working right? but without e grep
