The description is absolutely wrong.
That was NOT an FSN Pittsburgh announcer. That was an ESPN announcer. I know because I live nowhere near Pittsburgh and saw this game on ESPN and that's what I heard.
It's tactics like this, using half-truths and deception to steer opinion, that are ruining our country's political system. Good to see that people are using it in other areas as well.

Seriously, how do UK fans get brought into this? Have UK fans thrown anything on the court during or after any game this year? Someone threw a water bottle or two on the floor at Mississippi State after our first win. After the SEC tournament championship Calipari said he was disappointed that Mississippi State didn't make the NCAA, and I agree. Most Kentucky fans agree, because we like good basketball. Stupid fans will always be stupid fans. Grow up and some day you can cheer for win 2000.

I agree that the fuck you turner chant was a little much on national tv and that throwing stuff shouldnt happen. I dont think there is anything wrong with the Karen Sypher chant, if you dont want to possibly be humiliated then think about that before you cheat. And I can distinctly remember a your an inbred chant when Pittsnogle played as well as a your a faggot chant at Gansey because he wore an undershirt, so I guess depends on what youd consider inappropriate.

throwing stuff is just dumb, but its ridiculous that wvu gets so much shit for the chants such as eat shit pitt and the karen sypher chant. i attended the wvu pitt game at pitt and sat in front of the student section. For the first five minutes we were there we got chanted at us "you fuck your sister" followed by other chants about being inbreds and things no worse than what wvu chants during games.

@haas0631 the reason wvu fans get the bad rap is because they're out of control. chanting "fuck you turner" on national tv looks bad for the conference as a whole, not to mention the university. throwing things on the court is unacceptable, especially when aimed at a team's bench. you never hear the Zoo chant anything inappropriate on tv. karen sypher chants are also stupid and pointless because they're inappropriate and have nothing to do with the game, but a coach's personal life.

just for everyone's information... I was at the game and we all saw who threw the "coin". It was actually an ice chip and it was thrown by a pitt fan. They were kicked out immediately. I saw the person who threw it because they were standing and screaming. they obviously weren't aiming for him because as soon as it hit him he sat back down and tried to hide himself. this was actually sent out in a letter to all the coaches but espn doesn't care and they keep blaming it on West Virginia...

They chanted "Karen Sypher" and other uncouth shit at Rick Pitino when UofL came to play WVU. I was sitting right behind the Pitt bench and that coach faked getting hit by a coin in the face. He was taking advantage of the earlier problem when stuff was thrown on the floor at the jughead referees. The corner the coin supposedly came from was full of Pitt fans. @TheChancemp3 having lived in both areas, I can assure you that Pittsburgh is no better, and is actually much worse in a lot of ways considering the narcotics and violent crime issues. West Virginia is poorer as a whole, but experiences a fraction of the crime that is seen in Western PA.
