  • I had to write something about Kendo fighting and this is very useful documents, Tank you so much! ^O^

  • Impressive speed!

  • So sharp ! Are there any videos of Furukawa sensei in shiai?

  • He is on the 2007 All Japan 8-dan Championship DVD at least...That's the only DVD I have of him...

  • Thank you!

  • Before you run out and buy this DVD solely because Furukawa-sensei is in it, I should tell you he loses (to my untrained eye) rather badly to his opponent, whose name escapes me at the moment...But perhaps he is in more shiai in the video, I have only watched it quickly one time...

  • Thanks . I have the Miyazaki sensei video and he loses quite a few times. Some of these sensei seem like supermen. It's reassuring to know that they are human and that we underlings can achieve our goals if we put our minds to it. I also appreciate seeing people accept defeat with dignity. Kendo seems to be one a very few pursuits that really focuses on "good sportsmanship" win or lose. Thanks again.

  • FYI: dodaichi85 has posted videos of this competition including Furukawa.

  • After stumbling on this video, I watched all the other hurugawa sensei videos, these explain so much how kendo works. Great skillls to make it so accessible for beginners

  • Very beautiful postion of body and very clear and precise movements indeed. Very impressive kendo and a pleasure to watch.
