Lol this is how the game is... u drive 1 hour then 1 patrol car apears blazing rounds on u, u kill them, then drive again, 1 hour later ur car breaks down and ur fucked cuz its gonna explode and u cant repair it unless u were not lazy and get out of the vehicle to repair it when it was smoking, so u walk 5 hours u find an outpost u have fun with it, then ur bored again and walk or drive a car that u found, and 3 hours later u arrive at the main town... WTF? but its lamost a perfect game.

I can't manage to do the one where you injure someone then their friend comes they always just seem to mysteriously catch on to where I am before I even shoot even at night. still a good game in all but not nearly as good as the trailers made it out to be. as you get further into it it becomes very repetitive and a little boring

In addition to being three years older, Far Cry 2 is not about arena sized, run and gun shoot 'em up action. It's about strategy and planning (or lack there of). Black Ops has zero percent strategy and planning in it. Another thing, what you just said is similar to saying, "Crackdown 2 is way better than Rainbow Six Vegas" or, "MLB 2k10 is way better than Rock Band."

well i u r using a Springfield sniper rifle(pretty much the first sniper rifle u would have), after every scope-in shot, u have to release the left-trigger to get our of scope mode so your character would bolt and chamber a new round in

the iron sights i have never had a problem before

This game is awesome, for me there was no bugs or glitches but I hated one thing: everytime you have to fight the same checkpoint, you kill them, and after some times, they are back.

that's the only minus point.

The good thing about the PC is you get out much more than what you put in.

change your difficulty, if you have it on easy,, they might just die if you shoot them in the leg. higher difficulties make the game better also, gives you a challenge.

there was some seriously high expectations for this game I remember, the hype was so huge and rightly so cos original far cry was an awesome game! my favourite game ever. Unfournately this game did not live up to the expectations, but nevertheless it is still a great game, fun to play, plenty to explore, amazing visuals, the raw, rugged world of Africa etc. shame it does have a few glaring flaws.

What im talking about is that ive shot a guy in the leg before with a sniper. But i see no one helping the guy. and usually its the guys running amok around the whole map finding you. Actually, even from that distance they would find you. Oh and sometimes, they even tank the shot and say WHAT WAS THAT?

It doesn't happen all the time, but it's happened to me a couple times. I think you need a concealed spot, and the first shot has to be when they don't suspect anything.

Even with the camo upgrade, i think they find you wayyy too easily. I could have sworn i was well hidden behind patches of grass and bushes in a jungle, but a passing assault truck STILL found me. Hm....I think i also would have liked it more if it was 3 weapons of your CHOICE. at LEAST that...I'd like to take an AK with me, along with a sniper and a shotgun perhaps.

Everyone says they dont get why people think Far Cry 2 is repetitive, but I know why people think that. People only kill the enemies by shooting them with the same guns over and over again. This video demonstrated a few of many creative ways that you can kill people in the game. In order for the game not to be repetitive, you need to be creative. And I think thats great. Its the same thing over and over if you cause it to be, but if you try, you can really make the game non repetitive at all.

@shortimarc Yes I totally agree and there are more things that you can do other than killing people. You can also go hunting or explore the open world for diamonds and then get some more interesting weapons (for Christ's sake there are over 30 weapons and everyone uses the M4 the MP5 and the AK-47).

@DesertFoxKG Yes, but if you drive a bit more you can find cool stuff (cooler than everything in the game) like Gold AK's and diamonds I've even found a cool cave the best thing for hiding stuff (the problem is that they will disappear the next time you load another saved game or if you close the game and reopen it). On the other hand if you don't care about a Gold AK 'cause it just looks cool and it isn't practical and dont need any extra diamonds it is a big, annoying problem.

Id like to know if far cry 2 is sterilized like crysis? As is is there blood decals? blood? dismemberment? If I kill someone and throw a grenade on the corpse will the corpse fly off? Thats what killed crysis off for me after about 2 minute.

In Far Cry 2 there is little blood but I dont think it is much and there isnt dismemberment, hands wont rip off and heads will not blow into pieces. When you throw a grenade to a enemy, the body wont fly a meter, but when there is bigger explosivers, the bodies will fly.

For those on about that they get spotted if they shoot in one spot at someone ,either buy the stealth suit or stay hidden(bushes,tall grass etc) and keep moving positions. camping will obviously result in them finding you out.

Ive done this without a stealth suit - just make sure ur at distance and that there are a handful of guards around and then fire at whoever in the leg - it works believe me : ) but most of the time i just go beserk lol ... have fun!

Well I can run CoD 4 with almost full graphics and oblivion with about 75% of full graphs. FarCry 2 works with a little lag on my vomputer when shadows are on. So I guess that it will work just fine with yours :)

The Dragunov is better to use on Campaign, because if your a good shot you kill in 1 hit, but on multiplayer it is way underpowered, which is why its more sensible to use the 50. cal online

i knew about ammo explosions, because i get hit by them alot because of an enemy running around with an ak47.. ((and my ammo crates!)) decides to get trigger happy. i knew bombs could be placed on cars but i didnt know they stayed on the cars lol..

I'm calling BS on this... every time i shoot them in the foot/leg only 2 things happen. Either they are not hurt enough to fall to the ground but run instead - or - they die on the spot.

The best results i had were with the Dragunov and a straight shot into the chest while unaware. Other than that, either i needed many shots or just would be forced to pick 'em one by one.
