Countdown To Extinction was mainstream. Don't get me wrong its a damn good album. I love megadeth. Although stick to your facts dude. That was a mainstream album just as much as The Black Album. When Metallica were done with Load and Reload. I guess you can say those albums were just like Cryptic Writings and Risk. Youthanasia and Hiden Treasures were fucking amazing but not the best. They were also mainstream, but didn't get much radio play.

I think in many ways Marty contradicts himself, because Ive seen that same video and at the same time...actually many times within Megadeth he uses generic scales, and I know that sometimes you have to use those scales to help the song flow, but he still likes to say that he doesn't use generic scales and that he makes them up as he goes, I dont know its just something I noticed, regardless Marty fucking rules...

Having been a fan of both bands for years I have to say that metallica and megadeth both had their sell out moments. Dave however came back from that phase and has produced several really kickass albums, but metallica has forever been changed by the late 90s.
