  • Yet another rocking song from back in the day that's virtually forgotten.

  • Just joined and found your wonderful channel.

  • I'm also on Dailymoyion along with Vintagemusicman and kspn0220s.They have very similar music.

  • We have one computer between my husband & I and the in-laws who live with us so we are one big happy family but my computer time is limited.

I guess I'll stick around here and give the rest of them a chance!

You Tube seems great though...Kenny my husband loves it but doesn't have time to have a channel. Too busy with work (landscaper).

  • A GREAT song. Your comments about meeting a musician from the Jean Goldkette band are very interesting. By now of course, the parade's gone by, and there's no hope of ever meeting these people who made the most magical era in American music. I had several chances to meet Artie Shaw a few years ago, but I blew it. I do remember seeing Paul Whiteman as a kid in the 60s. He lived in Bucks County and my Dad & I would see him in the supermarket on weekends, but it was a always a polite nod, no fuss.

  • If there's anyone (aside from Benny Goodman) I would like to have met, was Joe Venuti, who was still active until the 1980s. His jazz violin collab with Eddie Lang not only created the genre, it also spawned the collab with Django Rhinehart and Stephane Grapelli. Venuti INVENTED this jazz violin style we know today. All the TV commercials with jazz violin are indebted to Venuti.

  • This doesn't sound like the issued take isn't this from the LP?

  • You forgot "Lynch" the Keller sisters brother

  • I first heard this song in the '70s when I picked up the RCA Vintage Series LP "1926," which you display in the video.

  • EdisonSquirrel: I also have that RCA Vintage series album, with Valentino's funeral entourage on the cover. Great music, not silly stuff. Nat Shilkret's selections were excellent, and I miss them now, because I'm not listening to the phonograph now.

  • Mr. Bigband,

This is a really good song. I like it.

Is that you in the red shirt standing next to that little guy? How tall are you, about 5'10"'?

  • Yes STARGLO6 ,that is me in the red shirt with Spiegel Wilcox in 1999,six months before he passed away.He is holding the Bix Biederbecke (Time=Life)booklet that he autographed for me,I'm 6'4 in. tall.

  • Another foot-tappin' song first thing in the morning! This was great Lou, love this song and your great pictures as always!
