TO CLEAR IT UP, I HAD A DS Lite IN THE 3RD GRADE TILL 4TH GRADE. I lost it on a plane and I was DEVASTATED. I had hundreds of hours of Pokémon gameplay. Afterwards I got the PSP. It was just okay... the only game I truly enjoyed was Patapon 2 (and 1 and 3 later on). So stop calling it a shitty device went I loved it.

Dsi, and you can't deny that scribblenauts, dragon quest,mario kart,mario 64, new super mario bros. mario and luigi inside story,metroid, , super scribblenauts, MOON,,kingdom hearts, contra ect are amazing games,don't be fooled by some lazy developers, few people still say this but dsi is not "kiddy" I could say the same thing about the psp just because it has cartoony games also like LBP,eyepet ect, so you can't afford to say anything about the dsi if the psp has some light hearted games also

@marjalino if you plan to get psp now, as in anytime this month, i suggest just buy PS vita or 3ds instead, or if you can a ps3 already. honestly i don't use my psp anymore since i've bought ps3. plus there are not too much exclusive games for psp, and not all of them are really good. if you buy psp you'll be enjoying games such as gta, ygdra union, tekken 6, daxter, ff7, god of war, persona. those are some of the games that i played on my psp. honestly i use my ds more
@marjalino plus when you buy psp, you will have to buy memory stick. usually 8GB is enough, it costs more or less $28. remember, some psp games can consume as much as more than 1GB. so don't expect you can complete your psp game collection with that memory. in my ds i bought acekard 2i plus 32GB microsd and it costs $60 but ive put on it more than 200 ds games, about 100 emulator games, 37 episodes of anime, some mp3s, movies and ebooks and i still have 8GB space left.
@marjalino okay, here's my experience of both. if you like hardcore gaming like lots of killings, racings, sports, adventures and fighting games, you will usually be playing those on a psp. with psp you are like carrying with you a portable ps2. with DS, games there have a lot of variety but you will rarely find blood and gore. mostly you will be playing RPGs, casual games, platformers, rhythm games. expect a lot of cute and fun games. the graphics are like improved ps1. it depends on your taste

Have you seen games on 3DS like Dead or Alive Dimensions,Beyond The Labyrinth and Resident Evil:Revelations? Those graphics are far better than the psp can ever hope to achieve.Also, old games are not bad just because they're old.

I had a DS and I hated it because the games are just too childish even though you can get some serious titles, I see more little boys and girls playing on a DS. And it is also annoying because I have to re-calibrate the touchscreen quite a lot, so I'm looking forward to getting a PSP,

is hypothetically a 'hardcore' game. yes, the violence is less than that of COD but the amount of content, the knowledge of rpg's needed, the patience and appreciation, and most importantly... the AUDIENCE who plays the game; cater to a hardcore gamer. so like i said.. it has nothing to do with the maturity level of a game. it has to do with the amount of time the player spends gaming.
what people dont understand is that 'casual' gamers dont mean kids, and 'hardcore' gamers dont mean brutal fans of violence. those two titles are refering to the AMOUNT of gaming a person does. not the type of games they play.

psp is still better for me. why? because i can still play the games that I want and put some music that i might like to listen to but dont ask me about these consoles because I own them both.. you can play the DS when you get bored enough playing the PSP and both of these consoles offer different games. if some of you are opting to buy a 3DS, its just gonna be a waste of money because you can still play the games you like on the DS and you'll buy another one. btw PS Vita pwns them all :D

@marjalino plus when you buy psp, you will have to buy memory stick. usually 8GB is enough, it costs more or less $28. remember, some psp games can consume as much as more than 1GB. so don't expect you can complete your psp game collection with that memory. in my ds i bought acekard 2i plus 32GB microsd and it costs $60 but ive put on it more than 200 ds games, about 100 emulator games, 37 episodes of anime, some mp3s, movies and ebooks and i still have 8GB space left.

@marjalino okay, here's my experience of both. if you like hardcore gaming like lots of killings, racings, sports, adventures and fighting games, you will usually be playing those on a psp. with psp you are like carrying with you a portable ps2. with DS, games there have a lot of variety but you will rarely find blood and gore. mostly you will be playing RPGs, casual games, platformers, rhythm games. expect a lot of cute and fun games. the graphics are like improved ps1. it depends on your taste

@jakewidsrocks YOU ARE FOOL HAHAHA. even a normal DS would beat PSP because DS can support up to 32GB micro sd, which you can put songs, music, movies and ebooks PLUS it lasts about 8 hours!!!! your psp can only last about 2-4 hours so you play it in your home! Id rather play my ps3 if im at home!! your psp go sucks gorilla balls in all angles!!!! DS is touch screen, so playing movies and songs has better functionality! it also has voice recorder too so i can record my lessons in school!!!

@awesomeiguy WOOOH!!! i found a two weeks old stupid guy on youtube!! DS is the best in terms of functionality!! It can support now 32GB microsd which you can put games, movies, songs and ebooks on it, with the TOUCH SCREEN controls!! has good homebrew organizer, which you can WRITE your notes on it! has built in camera and can do voice recording!! lasts about 8 HOURS! your Playstation PORTABLE is bulky and lasts only 2-4 hours so i just leave it at home! HAHAHAHHAHAHA PSP is just graphics XD

@brownwallet942 my psp lasts for 5 housrs on gameplay, also i have a camera on it, i also have an adapter and a jailbroken program that allows me to support 64gb of memory storage, i can also put songs, movies (ds cant even play movies), music, comics, eBooks, games, themes, and i can jailbreak it without some stupid connectors. LOL the psp also has voice recording, do you have an internet browser or skype, do you have msn, facebook, myspace? guess not. do you have god of war? POKEMON=JOKES

@awesomeiguy wtf, i have my laptop and blueberry phone already, I don't need FB, myspace and whatever in my gaming device!! AND PICTOCHAT IS MUCH BETTER, we friends use it during class!!! What i need in my gaming device is plenty of hardcore RPGs, casual games, and fun multiplayer games!!! PSP is worthless if you have ps3 already like me!

I had a DS and I hated it because the games are just too childish even though you can get some serious titles, I see more little boys and girls playing on a DS. And it is also annoying because I have to re-calibrate the touchscreen quite a lot, so I'm looking forward to getting a PSP,

I may like the ds this time, but ps vita owns 3ds. I mean 3d is a total gimmick. mayb be cool for a week, but it gets old, and its just there to jack the price up. I have to say Vita, especially when basically putting a ps3 into a small package, at 250 for wifi model? thats a steal.

stupid I thought that PSP maybe could beat a Ds, but DSi should own the PSP considering the DS beat the PSP, and really all the PSP 3000 got was a slicker design and a bit better screen, the DSi has a brighter screen, slicker, a camera, internet browser and a downloadable shop.

@MysteriousStealthMan I agree I like the DS a lot more, in the previous matchup between DS vs PSP on CNETTVPrizefight DS won, and really the PSP 3000 didn't improve that much from the 1000 or 2000, while the DSi added a bunch of stuff.

is hypothetically a 'hardcore' game. yes, the violence is less than that of COD but the amount of content, the knowledge of rpg's needed, the patience and appreciation, and most importantly... the AUDIENCE who plays the game; cater to a hardcore gamer. so like i said.. it has nothing to do with the maturity level of a game. it has to do with the amount of time the player spends gaming.

what people dont understand is that 'casual' gamers dont mean kids, and 'hardcore' gamers dont mean brutal fans of violence. those two titles are refering to the AMOUNT of gaming a person does. not the type of games they play.
for example, a game like COD is hypothetically a casual game, because plenty of people have it of all different gaming quantities. a vast majority of them are casual gamers who will play it for a few months then never touch it again. a game like final fantasy(s) is -cont-
