If any of the so called complementary and alternative "medicines" and I use term medicines loosely, were proven to be efficacious in the treatment of cancer, they would go through clinical trials and be put to market, but they're not efficacious, and more likely have no hypothetical basis in combating cancer anyway, so it'll never happen.

@bengalslash ahhh the typical head being pulled out of the sand for a brief look then back in it goes....do some proper research, there have been numerous proven cancer cures through the last 50 years, these have been shut down ,swept under the carpet by the big pharmas and is still happening now, and loads of people have given testamonials that have been cured by alternatives( are all these people liars ), ...cancer is a multi billion dollar business to the pharmacuticals...

@bengalslash They might list the so called medicines but they won't be able to list any Scientific proof, I've been asking naturo-paths to prove it to me for years now and none of them can ever do it because there is no Scientific proof that any of these ridiculous treatments work at all. I wish I were wrong, I really do but there is no holy grail of cancer treatments it just doesn't exist. It's funny when I ask naturo-paths for proof they give me anecdotal evidence that can never be trusted.

@MrBenchy35 I don't trust big pharma or the FDA for that matter but if the FDA is in on the chemo conspiracy with big pharma then how do you explain them outlawing dangerous medicines including avastin for breast cancer thus costing big pharma millions if not billions in revenue? There is no conspiracy!!!! These people piss me off because they could influence somebody impressionable to treat themselves with something like early detected breast cancer which in most cases is very easy to treat successfully by Western Medicine. They demonize chemo & I don't want to do chemo either but I would if I had to knowing that it's far less toxic now than it was say 30 yrs ago. I'm glad I'm not the only one with a brain responding to these so called "natural cures"

If anyone HAD a proven cure for cancer, that would them immediately give the nobel price in medicine. See, if people do a bazillion different things to get rid of their cancer, and then they get rid of it, they usually attribute their recovery to the very last thing they tried, although it might have been the 1st or 2nd thing that did the trick but just needed more time.

I hope your not getting Hemp and marijuana mixed up they are not the same thing, pot is a drug while hemp is a food and clothing plant.

If marijuana is really what you meant (via the drug) it could help against disease just as a stress reliever.

Hemp is highly anti cancerous too, Dr coldwell has a cure for cancer, he has a 90% success rate and the people that don't make it he says are the people who come to his as there last option (ie they were on chemo etc) 35,000 people cured of cancer! :D

Many successful alternative cancer therapies are based upon diet and nutrition. Unfortunately the FDA will not accept any cancer treatment based on nutrition. This means that alternative cancer therapies will never be tested and approved. Nutrition can not be patented so the FDA will not approve alternative Cancer treatments. The problem with proven science and Alternative Cancer treatment is that the FDA will not allow or pay for research of any Alternative health care. Others can perform studies but they most likely will not be accepted by the medical field or FDA. One thing for sure is there are plenty of people alive to prove it works.

Also, medicine may be "based" on science but MOST medicines are not scientifically proven to be safe or effective. They are only theories.
