Fuck Bill Maher. He's a scab and a hypocrite. If he wanted to help stop corporate america from "strangling this country" he should be out on the picket line with his writers, instead of crossing it in order to perform his written show.
Actually, he's not a scab or a hypocrit. He's contractualy obligated to do his show. Plus he's using the air time to promote the WGA's cause, and also improve it through criticism. Maher is doing what he's always done, he's standing up and voicing his opinion on what's right and wrong without any corperate or organization loyalties. Keep up the good work Bill, I'll be watching this and every other friday.

What in the hell does the writers strike have to do w/ the war? This is one ate up individual.Dont worry bill maybe youll get your wish of a president that bows down to your homosexual agenda.Youve lied enough about him, that the simpletons might just believe you.NOT!
The "Hollywood Reporter" quoted Thomas Short, President of IATSE (union of stage hands & motion pic techs, etc.) as saying,"I don't believe the WGA ever intended to bargain in good faith. They are destroying a lot of lives in the process. As a result of their irresponsible and irrational behavior, the number of IA members who have lost work is approaching 40,000 people."
If they hadn't went out it would have been a low-ball DGA deal forced onto the other unions through pattern bargaining. Because they went out the DGA had the leverage to make what was, if not a perfect deal, at least a workable framework for a deal that SAG and the WGA can put in place without ending up completely screwed. They're not trying to intimidate you Bill, they just think you're a moron.
bill kicks ass! funny even when he's talking serious stuff.

He's right... the strike is right on the merits, but wrong in terms of strategy.
