They run on Jet A1, K-1 Kerosene (real jet fuel). They start with propane.

The chances of you flying a turbine jet for the first time makes me laugh so hard my stomach hurts now. I've flown for 5 years and still don't go near turbines. Electric and Gas are good enough for me.

yes, this is a real turbine jet. The engines are anywhere from 3000 to 6000. The plane (fiberglass or something like it - just the frame) is about 1500+. Then the landing gear is 1000 (it retractable, with air tanks and other things inside...it can get quite elaborate). In all, I would guess that is about a 10 000$ plane.

Cool vid! One question: Does that thing have an actual jet engine? Those things are expensive! This RC plane must cost AT LEAST $1500! Plus, the retractable landing gear must kick up the price too.
