  • i wonder if you could build your own mega flow system using a transmission oil cooler with fan from the auto store, some rubber line,(preferably the ones from the hardware store made for sinks cause they have built in gaskets and quick connects or perhaps medical tubing with Heplocks ),then all you have to do is figure out a way of plumbing it into a water block.

  • io brackets a bad idea..id hog the hole in it out with a unibit and then install a automotive grommet for protection.

  • what is the barb size?

  • @ 3DGAMEMAN

Hi! Is it possible for you to do a video review for the Gigabyte 3D Galaxy II? I have heard about this product with lots of positive and negative reviews.

    Thanks! ;)

  • can u use this or the reserator v2 with sandy bridge cpus?

  • i thought water cooling is without ventlation thus completely silent?

  • Inspector Gadget does voice overs!!!!

  • i'd love an amp that looks like that.

  • And thats all and this is Cassy Casome

  • it maybe not the most silent or most cooling unit but the looks are definitely the coolest

  • I hear nothing...you sure its on? lol

  • This is awesome. Though I would replace the crappy "alarm" with a voice going: "Core Meltdown Imminent". Mechwarrior-style. XD

  • I might get one of these to keep my lager cool 8-)

  • some questions:

    1. How many accessories can you have installed at once ? (since ive seen theres for hard drive, ram, grafic ram, 2 grafic cards, cpu etc)

    2. Is this water cooling system better then the air systems ?

I mean its not to be picky but for that price I expect it to look awesome (which it does), cool mostly everything and an occasional blowjob from time to time.

  • @Dementedrox Water cooling is for high Overclockers, this unit is ok for starters. You can add as much water blocks and radiators as you want. Water cooling systems can be a little pricey depending on what you get. If you have little or no experience on water cooling then you can jeopardize your entire system from mostly leaks and other problems as well. So make sure you do some research. If you want it just for cooling then go for air cooling.

  • Expensive at over £300 too.

  • this is a nice looking cooling system, but i have heard nothing but crappy things about this.

  • @KingOfSand100 What stuff have you heard about it? I'm keen to know as I am considering getting one!

  • @jlebesis reviews on newegg, and alot of over clocking forums.

  • I wish there was a good passive water cooling solution. It sounds like this one has problems, and the Reserator 1 V2 cannot cool off modern processors.

  • this looked like a great product, but unfortunately there are all sorts of long term problems like the pump dying, the flow indicator getting stuck, sometimes the pump can't even pump water after a few months.

  • lol 6:05 is like he suddenly got fast forwarded

  • "My only real complaint with this water - cooling system, is that it does not come with a removable motherboard tray. Overall though, this is a kickass product!"

  • The swifttech kit is better than this imo, cheaper too.

  • @kop4321 I hope so, as it would be cheaper for me, and I cant decide yet between the two! lol

  • @jlebesis It would be better also because you can add parts to it later on =D

  • there should be massive heatsinks on the waterblocks so even more heat could be taken away with fans.

  • nice but i dont give a shit about noise because my 2 case fans

  • not bad , not bad at all...

  • 7kg... aint gonna cut it for me~ zz~ i get better temps just aircooling my system in aircon room~ even with prime95 for 2hrs~ overclocked frmo 2.6 to 4~

  • great review!

  • they should make a smal version that fits in your drivebay

  • how many db of sound does it makes on high speeds?

  • i was planing to buy a water cooling system, this one got my atention but I've heard so many bad reviews saying that it stops working after a few months so I'll just wait or save for a noctua air cooling and another 55870...

  • Can I use tap or bottled water for watercooling

  • @coakisit no..

  • @coakisit no not at all but you can use distilled water if you use anti-corrosive additives

  • uber expensive for such bad cooling

  • 17-20c idle*

  • zalman 9700led gives me 17-10 idle and gives me 35c load overclocked cpu to 3.2ghz... it's not a water cooler either... just shows how pointless water cooling is atm.

  • However, mine is OCed to 4.5Ghz... so, aircooler would kill my CPU.

And.. my watercooler is connected to my three 5870's... and my north bridge.

  • this is the worst shit i've ever bought.

starts beeping every night, turns the pump off and eventually the cpu overheats and pc shuts down.

ofc used distilled water and anti corrosion, changed water after 6 months. around 10 months after i bought it it just went mental. now im going over to internal watercooling.

  • isnt this thing like 400$?

  • thats what it says on Newegg... thats just bullshit

  • whooa!!! >_>

  • Great Review Rodney !!

  • wow my q6600 oc to 3.2 was in 40º idle

  • KEWEL!

  • Who wants a moustache ride!? :)

  • @trancefan92 stupidest question ever with such a clear video title EXTERNAL WATER COOLING SYSTEM

  • yeah true was a little mashed when i posted

  • besides i have seen something of near enough the same design as this but internaly mounted any ideas as to what the model is that i looked at?

  • is there a block i can buy seperatley so it will work with a socket 1366?

  • yes

  • 1366 and 775 are compatible

  • Comment removed

  • yeah! but costs like wtf

  • yep there is a lot!!

  • They should have called it the Reserator XD

    Just for laughs...

  • @TheDevilOnHoliday

Wait till you see their "new" products..

  • Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, the coolant looks like gatorade!

  • @nonamre hgfhfhfh

  • @nonamre

    gatorade = corrosion lol

  • @nonamre it's only mineral oil

  • How much is this? In Singapore currency? xD

  • mmmmhmm..about 686.990 SGDs.

  • 0.O killer xD

  • I know what temperature speed is. Dnt kill yourself

  • want dis =D

  • if you want this make sure you get a new pump for it because my dad have the exactly the same and he have big problems with the pump because it has runned all the time slow anyways he have everything fan, pump maxed out it still doesnt reach 2.0 it under 0.5 flow

  • the front of the reserator looks like "EA" in crysis,YEAH!

  • Hello all, I have this zalman reserator xt with my phenom II cpu. I am going to buy i7 cpu and I was wondering can i buy bracket for that cpu ? This watercooler cost so damn much so i don't want to waste it.

    Thanks in advance!

    --yytinen

  • socket 1366???i7??

  • NO its not for i7

  • Ok nice review btw....

    I have a Question

Will this thing be able to cool 2x geforce GTX 295

    and a Core i7 975??

  • wanted to ask same thing :)

  • ya my dad have this and he is using 2 ati gpus and cpu he is cooling the 3 of them with this zalman liquid cooler

  • Probably but youll need to buy a 1366 zalman bracket to fit to the water block.

  • Now when you buy this. Does it come with all the pieces or does it just come with the Reserator?

  • 0:23

  • Does the cpu block support AM3 socket ?

  • Yes. I have it in my phenom II.

    --yytinen

  • what clocks have you reached and what cpu is it? Think of buying this unit

  • It is a damn good water cooler and easy to install. I have only reached 3.8 ghz, because my phenom II won't go higher. I have thought about buying i7 920 and I think that it would go up to 4.0-4.4 ghz. I recommend it, if you are looking for high end water cooling.

    --yytinen

  • ok sounds good wha phenom do you have and is it really nosiy like this vid or can you not hear it over the tower

  • Can this thing cool 2 GTX 295's if waterblocks are installed on the GPU's?

    kp

  • Yes.

  • Got this yesterday, its fucking awesome :D

  • Got my Q6600 up to 3.7Ghz at 1.52V Idle 38 / Load 60

  • He says Radiator lol it's pronounced Raydiator

  • thats what she said

  • that thing is HUGE

  • that things a beast

  • If you buy this new from Zalman it has been updated and works with 1336 and the 775 both.

  • what is IDLE temp and LOAd D temp????

  • idle is when only the Windows running, load is when the cpu is working hard.

  • will this support my intel core i7 965 ???

  • it won't. you will have to get a special waterblock that fits the tubes to fit the LGA 1366.

  • awe... so how can i buy that?

  • idk, you either have to buy the waterblock seperately or get a special order from Zalman

  • yes

  • Being as the CPU water block supports LGA 1366, yes.

  • AS long as there is a water colling block out for it yes

  • will it support LGA1336 mothrboard for i7 core?

  • i just bought 1 of this today for 150£ on ebay

  • this looks expensive..

  • is expensive...most kits that aren't like 1 120mm fan with a small radiator are expensive.

  • this is very expensive :)

  • Comment removed

  • as u can tell this video was made in 07... since youtube went HD he now films in HD and renders in HD...

  • serously. he couldn't use hd yet. angry face.

  • whow connect the watercooling system to your head and slow down speakin at the end!

  • Water and Electronics are not a very good combination,Unless your an experienced tech kiddies Don't try this at home! I seen an inexperienced person fry their computer because of a leaky hose! They brought it to me to repair.

  • damn straight. the leak is your nightmare, even if you know what youre doing shit can go down in there. Just have to make some fairly regular checks, a good bump or something similiar you know

  • The higher the flow rate, the better cooling, right?

  • yes

  • what a beast!

  • i think the best way to cool ur pc is to install an air condition in your room and place ur pc into your air condition room, every time you turn on the pc turn on also your air condition. LOL!

  • HELL YEAH!!!get it all nice n cold...

  • OR have something colder than air conditioning, um, like dry ice!

WAIT!! theres something even colder than that! liquid nitrogen!

oops, THEY HAVE ALREADY DONE THAT.

  • Try Freon.

  • freon is banned in most places and destroys the envoirment, but go ahead :D Ruin the world for some smoother frame rates when overclocking, you bastard :)

  • LOL. Nice man. That gave me a good laugh. xD

  • Happy to oblige :D

  • It only ruins the world if everyone does it. Don't blame a guy using freon when there are much more damaging forces to blame. There's also no point in being upset about it or even trying to change it.

  • we were just having a laugh, no need for the lecture and commentary

  • Yea, but I kind of started this with a joke, so...

  • nobody's really destroying the world, just living conditions. the only ones were fucking over are ourselves (among other living things) the earth recovers in several million years.

  • comon its a joke

  • nOOb question. Can I attach a different water block then what comes with the Reserator XT?

  • yes u can, the tube size is 3/8" which is a common size for any other water blocks.

  • Yeah jus make sure the tubing is the right size

  • I have a Zalman Reserator XT and it works about 1 year. It closes by itself and sometimes you have to reset it every 4 days. I can not recommend this product to the malfunction after a while. I have had the Zalman Reserator 2 and it was the same problem.

  • Is there an all-in-one cooling solution you would recommend?

  • no, I have bought a new video card and switched back to fan cooling again.

  • yeah i also want this alot!!!!!!!!!!

  • This external water kit is a beast its one of the best out there but it comes with a damn heavy price.

  • man i really want one of these, there like 400 bux though

  • lol,i ment black and red

  • it would have looked better if it was in black colour.

  • You get one in that colour xD

  • Nice Video Thx Man !!! Xt is for me and my e8400 and my 2x8800GT OC thx !!!

  • They're GT's. Not like they get hot even with a HEAVY overclock.

  • If things don't get hot when you overclock, Your not very good at it.

  • I'd say if things don't get hot when you overclock them, then you're doing better then the rest of us overclockers.

    No heat = goal

  • no heat = goal, not necessary true i say.

depends really on the unit u r overclocking,

I'm overclocking a celeron dual core, no heat = goal yes.

But im also o/c amd 939 heat = goal as well

So it depends really on the unit.

  • Why would you want more heat on your processor?

    That's just really stupid.

  • i was speaking to The Tech Guys about overheating and they said that when the components run warm/ hot they can generally run better, but all depends on your processor, GPU and your Northbound. GPU's usually can get up to 120 degrees centigrade, processors, like i said depends.

  • Define usually bro.

It's not safe for your GPU to go anywhere over 80C, and even 80C is not recommended.

  • I've a 4870x2 that hits over 90c under load, the gpu is rated to run up to 120c but you really don't want it anywhere near that. Other parts of the card will begin to burn before the cpu does.

The manufacturers were having a hard time making better coolers without increasing the noise and therefore the price. Most people I know with these cards fit after market coolers and rip up the warranty.

  • I am running a asus 4870x2 with 3 fans. And I have a NZXT Tempest chassi, and my peak temp during around 80% load is 70c

  • Dammit Rodders..! You spelt 'Ultra' wrong at 5:19!

  • Is this enough to cool CPU, northbridge, three GPU-s?

  • i think he means when the water is 60c the alarm. And I think that is high as well, because for that amount of water to be 60c, the components are going to be quite hot and then your computer is probably fried lol.

  • HOW MUCH IS THAT?

  • isnt 60c a little high?

  • it sounds like a race car

  • I have one of these, and mine is silent and not as noisey as you think.... highly recommend this baby to anyone...

  • is it possible to used thermaltake bigwater coolant???

  • You can use just about any type of coolant you want. (just make sure its made for your computer)

I used to use distilled and purified water in my water cooling system. (chlorine free)

  • yea thats fine i have thats water and a green UV die look ace under a small uv light

  • i think u can use any water but in terms of it is categorized as distilled water

  • O_O can i use the green water .. like the car use.. o_O

  • I have 2 of these....One cools my Skulltrail (Both QX9775's) and the other cools my Vidoe cards...I highly recommend them/

  • go trubitar!

When are you posting benches or gameplay vids???

  • Very soon...

  • u either have to be rich or getting sponsored to buy those, they're 350 euros each where i live.

    (reasonable cheap shop)

nah, u dont have to be rich, its just that im a student without work^^ that makes sense

  • i'm torn between this watercooling kit and the Zalman Reserator 2! Which one should i get?

  • Don't get the resorator 2! They break down after just months of buying them.

  • my god, this is so expensive!!! the cheapest i could find was at newegg for $400!! i would get the thermaltake bigwater 760i instead.

  • dont complain dude... in teh Netherlands its 327 euro, thats about $490...

  • No, it's because you post the same message 3 times in a row.
