Martika gave this song to Alisha since Alisha has a more commercial voice. They are friends and Martika sings backup for Alisha on her Bounce Back album. See Alisha's Myspace/Facebook Page.
If u people know the 80s music and had records back then u would know that.....that was an extended version of the song Bounce Back....was under the group called Fire On Blonde
I love the song and interview, but Martika's music video becomes boring halfway through it,though. I wish she would at least do a televised concert.Maybe Pay Per View. Jerry Sharell's and Rasaahn voice are also recognizable. And Fergie's voice.
Martika has put two albums out already with her new group Oppera. There seems to be no videos yet on you tube but if you look on amazon they both are on there.
Oh my...this song is fun!! Too bad it remains unreleased! It's almost freestyle, I wonder if that's the direction she was initially embarking on with this song?! Because she eventually went all teen cheese with "More Than You Know" and "Toy Soldiers".
Thanks for posting these rare clips! Incidently this song would later go on to be a dance hit in 1990 for Alisha (also produced by Michael Jay). It's so cool hearing this version by Tika! Can't wait to see more!!
Alisha is so much better!

Martika and Donna Delory (Madonna's backup singer) were Alisha's backup singer on Alisha's "Bounce Back" Album. Alisha's version is much stronger!

Another 80's Artist. Search youtube for Alisha "Bounce Back" for the video. It came out in 1990.

Alisha and Martika had the same producer Michael Jay in 1989/90.

Martika's voice is awesome! Her voice is so distinct and it's the only recognizable voice from Kids Inc.

lamentablemente suena muy madonna de los 80´s
Martika fue grande cuando cambio su estilo a partir de Toy Soldiers, fue ella misma...

i wonder if theres anyway to get this song i really love her version

This was probably done after Martika left "Kids Incorporated". She was out promoting herself to record labels at the time.

I agree. I wish Martika sounded like this on her official releases. She does best just singing straightforward "fun" pop.
