  • i dont plan on knifing my iphone

  • Pussy scratch stab that shit

  • wrong side of the knife....

  • why don't you try this on the screen it's self

  • does this have the orange peel thingy?

  • @DaSurot No XO Skins does not have the horrible orange peel look, it is clear and smooth. It also does not feel like rubber like many other skin protectors.

  • @xoskins whaaaaaaaat?! I wish I saw this one first rather than ZAGG's ad. I'm ordering one of these.

  • I personally like the orange peel "thingy" look and feel

  • thats why its called a screen protector -_-

  • I want one lol

  • Well, that doesn't prove anything. Maybe the phone wouldn't scratch without the skin on. You'd need to scratch the phone with it on, then peel it off, then scratch it without the skin and show how ruined the screen would be without it...

  • @DeShark88

We have other videos illustrating this.

  • good... so I can sold my iphone after 1 years using it... and the phone still look new when i sold it.

  • I don't see the point in these videos? It's proving that the screen PROTECTOR is protecting the screen? Wow, never saw that coming -_-

  • my question is, who is that dumb that they will use a knife to scratch their iphone, i mean how many people is going around with a knife in the same pocket they got their phone?

  • I want to see a side-by-side with an unprotected iphone screen. iphones are suppose to have great screens on their own.

  • dude use the rhite side of blade and if you say you used the blade tip show us a vid that clearly shows the tip and scratch harder then i might buy your product :)

  • Why not drop it of a 30 story apartment to prove your skins?

  • YOU CRAZY BASTARD

    PUT THAT KNIFE IN YOUR............

    Kitchen :D

  • what's the point of the screen protector... stated there in apple website >>>

All the breakthrough technology in iPhone 4 is situated between two glossy panels of aluminosilicate glass — the same type of glass used in the windshields of helicopters and high-speed trains. Chemically strengthened to be 20 times stiffer and 30 times harder than plastic, the glass is ultradurable and more scratch resistant than ever.

  • @MrFahmifarid

While the glass on these phones is stronger than what used to be used, they still can be scratched. Any sand or glass material can scratch them easily. With just a little google searching you can find many people who have scratched this glass. If you become one of them, installing these protectors will fill those in and make your phone look new again.

  • @xoskins Now why would I have sand or glass in my pockets LOL

  • @MrFahmifarid They only say that for when you DO end up scratching it you'll have to pay for a new glass and digitzer straight from Apple.

  • @MrFahmifarid For the 1st 2 weeks I used my iPhone 4 without a screen protector and it got scratched.

  • @MrFahmifarid

Yup its strong....But there's a big design defect too...The was the glass is used on the structure is wrong!

So while it won't get scratched easily...u can easily break it incase u drop it due to its sheer brittleness!

The glass panel on Motorolla Defy would have been more preferable!

  • should have used the knife blade tip :)

  • It would be funny where he starts using the knife and when he starts to pull off the skin and then he says "oh shit" hahaha

  • he used the dull side.. look at when he picks it up and drops it down.. which side has the eye? the top(dull) so yeah.. try it with the actualll bladee.. :P

  • @KingBorii10 Well then its abit odd that the dull side which is thicker can be seen while he is doing it, and when he drops the knife it obviously rolls and makes it seem like he used the dull side. Observe abit better before making such statements.

  • @JohnnyMacFartland as he picks the knife up he twists it to the dull side, the knife doesnt roll at all when he puts it down. he used the dull side.

  • @KingBorii10 no it was the right side

  • @KingBorii10 Or you could pay attention to all the other parts. He WAS using the bladed side. When he set it down it flipped. Good try though.

  • thats a fake swiss knife

  • Impressive

  • @x3GxReMiX this is not army knife dude

  • it was smudged so when he used the knoft on thw screen it looked like scratches lol

  • now drop the tip of the knife down onto the phone from about 2 feet and see if the blade does damage.

  • my cocern: how freaking easy did he pull the skin off?!

  • @JanGelroller

The skin was applied only moments before this test so it was still wet. After allowing it to cure it is very difficult to remove, however if you ever need to remove the skin, it leaves nothing behind. Watch out video with the iphone 3g scratch test with the drill and dremel. you will see how strong the glue is.

  • @xoskins i watched the Drill bit one... and there was some glue left on the iphone. and half the skin didnt even come of, i dont know if that was intensional or not ..

  • @15Protech

On that video there was only half of a skin installed to illustrate one protected side and one unprotected side.

  • just to point it out u used the dull side

  • @i69iBmx

He used the sharp side of the knife.

  • @i69iBmx He used the sharp side.

  • U don't need a screen protector...

    Front has durable glass.

Have had my 3GS without a protector, or case and the glass is still prestine.

Damn oleophobic coating is scratched up though. Thinking about taking plastic polish and removing it.

  • Whats the point of this video? To show how easy it's to scratch your product?

I would have bought it if it didn't get scratched by a knife.. This proves nothing beside that it does the same like all other screen protectors..

  • @ixyzyxi

The point of the screen protector is to keep the phone protected. XO Skins comes with a lifetime warranty if your skin is ever damaged. What sets it apart from other skin companies is XO Skins does not have that orange peel look of others or the rubbery texture. The skin is designed to self heal. If we had ran the knife over it and left it for a day the skin would go back to its original condition, much like a gummy bear.

  • @xoskins You can try to scratch the original Iphone 4 glass with the same knife and still won't scratch and I bet XO

  • @xoskins I have experienced this with my XO skin.

  • Does the skins have "orange peel" effect? Tnx ;)

  • @gialappass

No XO Skins does not, it is clear and smooth. It also does not feel like rubber like many other skin protectors

  • Rather have Zagg

  • i dont understand Oo, every one videos show scratch test with that fucking plastic cover. Where is real scratches as on iphone 3gs or 3g? thay dont wont scratch 4g yea?

  • You might want to protect the stainless steel sides. Again, the screen won't scratch with normal use, and screen protectors won't prevent the screen from shattering if you drop it

  • Don't let nobody fool you, look it up for yourself. People have tried to scratch it with keys and scissors and it doesn't scratch. God knows what the guys from engadget did to their phone, or maybe it was a factory defect. Besides, a phone with a screen protector looks cheap.

  • @pinguo69 I agree.

  • Send me one for review and I'll make a YouTube video

  • @gman8505

Currently we are only accepting reviewers with 5000 subscribers or more on youtube. However if you become a fan on facebook the code XOSfacebookfan will get you $2 off

  • iPhone 4 scratches very easily despite what apple tells us

  • @gman8505

That is true, that's why you should always cover your gadgets with XO Skins..

  • duh,, isnt that what the plastic cover is for?

  • Unfortunately this phone is not scratch proof as many articles show. For example one of the editors at engadget got his iphone 4 scratched during normal use. The great thing, is xo skins will fill in light existing scratches

  • Skin does nothing. The iphone itself is scratch proof.

  • You could have done that to the screen itself, it's pretty much scratch proof.

  • either you need to fix your white balance...or something is wrong with your skin

  • @watchurmouthyoungman

lol, it is a feature with the camera. Just trying something new. Thought it looked cool.
