  • Nice job and the lesson is also very good. I'm a guitar player , trying to self teach piano. If anything, it makes a great backing track for practicing the guitar solo over.

  • Thanks - you saved me a bunch of time!

  • This is awesome! Would you mind posting links the sites that helped you learn the piano on your channel? I'm sick of finding sites that keep selling me some sort of get-awesome-quick-program scam.

  • @chassy500 Wow I have been playing for 5 and can't learn this song!

  • man, nice job on this cover. i love it. you played the piano awesome and its nice to see someone do it without the vocals.

great job on an amazing song

  • thanks a lot! i appreciate the comments.

  • hey dude great job... and im sure whatever critiques i have have already been pointed out, such as the pause and timing of some parts to give it that... feeling? i guess? but overall great stuff

  • This was absolutely amazing. If you could post either a tutorial or the sheet music it would be very awesome. I've been looking for the sheet music for this song for some time, and nothing I have found seems to sound right to me.

  • That was great! Are you planning on putting together a tutorial? Lemme guess...yes, but you have to find the time, you have to get it right, and I have to be patient right? lqtm :)

  • The piano play is excellent. Try this though and see if it sounds better: When you start with the left hand, you play the lower B, and then hold the pinky finger and play higher B right. Play them both at the same time, I think that's how Cain plays it cause it sounds like more than one note.

Also this song requires a very specific sounding piano. It's weird, but for some reason digital pianos just don't capture it, you need like a Baldwin/Steinway of the deeper kind. Good job.

  • Totally agree with boynt0nbeachboy... nice to finally hear someone play without the vocal notes being played, although the chores needs a bit of work where he sings:

"They say that the road Ain't no place to start a family.

Right down the line It's been you and me.

    And lovin' a music man

Ain't always what it's supposed to be"

...and then the TIMING will make or break the song where he sings:

"Oh, girl, you stand by me"

Nice job my friend.. I'll post mine soon. Maybe I can help. :)

  • hey, thanks for the comments! i completely agree with your critique. if the timing is off the slightest bit, the song just isn't the same. i hadn't been playing long when i did this video, so i was pleased, at the time, how it turned out. i've definitely improved on it. looking forward to your video. thanks again.

    charlie

  • No problem, I quickly put something together... hope it helps :P

  • yessss!!!!! a version without the dam vocal notes included.

    complete awesomeness man

  • thanks, i'm glad you liked it. pretty much all my covers are without the melody. i usually learn the songs as if i were playing in the band. thanks again!

  • that was amazingly amazing :]

  • thanks a lot!

  • Good but it seems to be out of sync

  • this is very good!!

  • thats was great!

  • sorry for the late reply, but thanks for the comment!
