What you think about there being the ability to adjust TractionControl & ABS on cars that never even had those? - out of curiosity
@GovernmentGuy To each its own, there is always a critic so I'm not surprised someone doesn't like GT5..What you have to understand is there is no perfect game out there, there can always be improvements. Well at least to me GT5 is excellent. I just started playing GT5 and notice the Traction control adjustment option less slip better acceleration etc..I don't use it, I've beaten GT3 and GT4 without it. Its just another option for beginners like the drive line guide. It depends how you view it.
@MrRaphaelLippi are you kidding? Take a look at the standard cars. The skins of the standard cars look like something out of the PS2. Also if you skid out and get some smoke around the hood of your vehicle the god damn picture pixelates like shit... mostly because of the fucking 3D bullshit they put in the game that only like 12 people play using.

@BrittaanyBanks - Download/Install the update! I did yesterday & immediately noticed an improvement. I was one of the people who was greatly disappointed in this game (especially having waited so long). You'll see an improvement in graphical detail, as well as better response in game menus. Be sure to 'install main game data' to your hard-drive too. OH, and check your display settings in the PS3 system menu (Turn everything on). You'll see.
@philcoe18 the graphics are bad? are you sure? i have gt5 and its awsome!! and your loading times could be a problem with your system or you just din't do the 8gb full instalation.
Car control is realistic, you hear that from soo much testers, that the physsics are realistic, that is the main aspect of this game, it is a simulator.
And if you do install it, it loads much faster..

Yes. I actually meant the Mazda 787B, which I mistakenly called the "Renown". I have no chance against this car with the vehicles I have now. I mean, I can be in 1st place for 2-3 laps, but then my tires will become red (because of all the high speed skidding and braking with cars that don't handle too well) and the 787B will be right up my ass, and surpass me in no time.

Auto save cannot be disabled, which means that you will waste MILLIONS on cars you don't like.
NO MATTER which car you choose, your soft tires will wear out around 3 laps, and your opponents' tires, for some magical reason, will not, causing them to catch up and beat you.
If you opt for hard or medium tires your car will handle like shit, and they'll still beat you. This game blows.

Any track of moderate size will cause my tires to become reddish around 3 laps, affecting my handling and position in the race. Hard or medium tires just don't have the grip to compete with cars that have over 1,000 hp whose tires NEVER wear out in a 5 lap race.
How can you POSSIBLY do 25 laps without pitting, and STILL have good handling from your tires???
@ejdf870 What kind of car are you using? I don't know, any car I use I always buy Racing Soft and in the endurance races I can go pretty far without having to change my tires. I raced the mazda 4 hour race and did pit stops every 30-40 minutes. Don't slam on the brakes during turns and they won't wear out as fast. You should upload a video of you racing.
@superbad123abc I've used the GTR '07 souped up to over 800hp; the Bugatti Veyron, maxed out to over 1,300hp; and the Ford GT souped to almost 850hp.
The problem I have with these is that they are not PURE race cars, so they under perform, causing me to understeer, skid, jump, hydroplane, etc. I'm racing in the Extreme series GT All Stars, which feature super performance monsters such as the Calsonic, and Renown. I don't stand a chance unless I get something on that level of handling.
@ejdf870 Yeah I can see the problem now. Those cars have too much power when tuned and put way too much pressure on the tires. If you had a race car like one of the Peugeot's or the Mazda 787B that would make things much easier. I'd go with the Mazda. My Peugeot's so beat up I haven't repaired it and I thought of giving it away.

I almost gave up waiting for this, and for real, im really dissapointed with Gran Turismo 5. The game is as good as perfect, BUTthe inconsistent framerate really harms the game too much. I couldnt believe what i was seeing when i saw the first framedrop on the ps3 version, not to mention the screentear wich makes it even worse. Even certain levels have crazy pop up for a ps3 game, c'mon, five years, and this unpolished. Im really bothered with it cos i waited so long, im really hurt and angry!
I'm slightly disapointed that the damage engine isn't anywhere near that shown on the Impreza on this trailer. Is there going to be an update for real damage?
@Phoenixcharger1988 All I know is you have to unlock at level 40 to see full damage effect. But Kaz is going to do an update patch with the mechanical damage system.

@superbad123abc Actually, I've beaten EVERY GT that has ever come out. It WAS my favorite game, until this crap came out.
Any track of moderate size will cause my tires to become reddish around 3 laps, affecting my handling and position in the race. Hard or medium tires just don't have the grip to compete with cars that have over 1,000 hp whose tires NEVER wear out in a 5 lap race.
How can you POSSIBLY do 25 laps without pitting, and STILL have good handling from your tires???

@ejdf870 What kind of car are you using? I don't know, any car I use I always buy Racing Soft and in the endurance races I can go pretty far without having to change my tires. I raced the mazda 4 hour race and did pit stops every 30-40 minutes. Don't slam on the brakes during turns and they won't wear out as fast. You should upload a video of you racing.

@superbad123abc I've used the GTR '07 souped up to over 800hp; the Bugatti Veyron, maxed out to over 1,300hp; and the Ford GT souped to almost 850hp.
The problem I have with these is that they are not PURE race cars, so they under perform, causing me to understeer, skid, jump, hydroplane, etc. I'm racing in the Extreme series GT All Stars, which feature super performance monsters such as the Calsonic, and Renown. I don't stand a chance unless I get something on that level of handling.

@ejdf870 Yeah I can see the problem now. Those cars have too much power when tuned and put way too much pressure on the tires. If you had a race car like one of the Peugeot's or the Mazda 787B that would make things much easier. I'd go with the Mazda. My Peugeot's so beat up I haven't repaired it and I thought of giving it away.

@iegemboy Indeed, Gran Turismo is about loving cars, it's about worshipping cars, and driving them. To all the haters of this game: if yoe don't like GT5, you don't like cars. It's as simple as this.

I almost gave up waiting for this, and for real, im really dissapointed with Gran Turismo 5. The game is as good as perfect, BUTthe inconsistent framerate really harms the game too much. I couldnt believe what i was seeing when i saw the first framedrop on the ps3 version, not to mention the screentear wich makes it even worse. Even certain levels have crazy pop up for a ps3 game, c'mon, five years, and this unpolished. Im really bothered with it cos i waited so long, im really hurt and angry!

@Phoenixcharger1988 All I know is you have to unlock at level 40 to see full damage effect. But Kaz is going to do an update patch with the mechanical damage system.
