As written in Sahih al Bukhari, The marriage contract of Aisha RA took place when she was 6; Allah showed Holy Prophet through aangel jibreel that Aisha RA was his would be wife . Then Holy Prophet mediated it through Khaula RA and Abu Bakr Siddiq agreed for the marriage.. Even at that age she was already engaged with another man and

to marry her to holy Prophet , her engagement was broken from that man and marriage contract was made .

She stayed with her parents till she matured at 9 yrs .
