Remember in Rad racer if you pressed select you could play the game in 3D glasses mode!! I loved that!!

What happened to the Master System you got as a kid? Did it get traded in or sold when you got the NES?

My parents bought me a SMS for my B-Day and I got mad at them because I told them many times I wanted an NES (since my cousin had an NES and brought it over) they took it back and got the NES. I never even looked at the SMS let alone opened and played it!

I had this when it came out. The only problem I had with it was that when you crash the the guy and girl don't go tumbling out of the car like they did in the arcade. Theres no engine sound because the music is supposed to make you feel that youre in the car with the radio cranked up., at least thats my theory..

I thought overall it was a damn good conversion for the home console back then.

The genesis version had no engine sounds for your car, though oddly enough you could hear other cars' engines when you passed them.

The Amiga version has the engine sound very clearly though. (much more than the arcade)

I forgot I had this game as a kid. The music set off the memory in my head. That music brought me back. But when it changed to the FM music and sound, I was very disappointed. I thought the original was very well done. The sound FX on the FM sound weird. Like a bird chirping when you are losing traction. And the crash sound is off. The original was a lot more refined in my opinion.

cool classic game,ive always liked this,probably one of the first racing games i tryed when i was a kid,i believe in the arcades they had a sit down model where you could use a steering wheel cuz my memory serves me correctly thats what i tryed
