I grew up watching this show in the 80's and I'm so glad I got to experience it when it was new! I think all us girls from the 80's wanted Synergy when we were kids :)

I have the DVDs of this show, I'm a huge 80s toon fan, and I played them for my girlfriend's daughter and neice, and they loved it. Maybe they should look at bringing this show back like the have for so many other 80s toons.
I had my Glitter and Gold Jem doll until I was 22 and I gave it to a kid and wish I hadn't lol, that is really sad to think that way. Her earrings still worked and she had her entire outfit!

I am 38 and I went there and bought back all the old toys I had growing up. Who say's you can't buy back your childhood. I say go for it!

Jem was a cartoon that ran from 85 to 88 i believe. i use to watch it on old vhs tapes with my old nanny was a teen in the 80s & use to watch this all the time. to bad they dont make shows like this anymore. even in the 90s cartoons were still great. good in the early and mid 2000s but now they are all crap. i cant even think of one good show let alone cartoon for kids in this age range today. and I'm 18! sad that kids wont know how great Jem is

I keep reading that a lot of people want Jem to be made into a live action movie, it wouldn't be bad idea if they had someone who was going to be faithful to the series but we all know how THAT's going to turn out. For one they'd completely change their 80's style and music which wouldn't make it Jem at all.

Jem was a cartoon that ran from 85 to 88 i believe. i use to watch it on old vhs tapes with my old nanny was a teen in the 80s & use to watch this all the time. to bad they dont make shows like this anymore. even in the 90s cartoons were still great. good in the early and mid 2000s but now they are all crap. i cant even think of one good show let alone cartoon for kids in this age range today. and I'm 18! sad that kids wont know how great Jem is

If you watched the cartoon is a praise to synergy, the purple lady who makes the band possible! This show does nothing but spread possitive messages. Scared the shit out of us when they all started clapping during that end crescendo. We screamed. Second album I ever owned (Culture Club was my first). Ah, good times.

I keep reading that a lot of people want Jem to be made into a live action movie, it wouldn't be bad idea if they had someone who was going to be faithful to the series but we all know how THAT's going to turn out. For one they'd completely change their 80's style and music which wouldn't make it Jem at all.

I for one think jem had some really tricky stuff for a cartoon. just take the dilemma with having a secret identy and having your own bf hitting on you, thinking you were someone else. and you say the show has no drama?
as for the core of the show, its good against evil. just as in the most other cartoons. as in thundecats.
now I too prefer thundecats to jem and the holograms, but to bash the show with the arguments you are making is just.. stupid.
