Can you mention where / how to download the Skype "pet" file? Does Skype on Puppy work with a USB webcam, and if so, is it important which one? I'm a noob with puppy booting from CD / USB on an old laptop 128m 800Hz. So find puppy it faster than XP for casual internet browsing and web based apps such as the Google stuff. Getting Skype video conf calls working would make me drop Windows entirely (for that old laptop at least) Thanks in advance!
A Microsoft LifeCam VX-700 worked out of the box for me. To my utter amazement. Maybe other LifeCams work as they dont need drivers on WinBoxes . They use some generic human interface thing. I followed a different howto in order to able to install the latest Skype binary .
