Hurricane Bertha Damage

I remember Bertha & Fran.. Both nasty storms.. But now "Irene" is taking aim at us.. We'll have to wait and see how we do..

I went to help a friend off the island at Topsail island. It was a very violent storm. It completely destroyed my friends beach cottage. What a night off wind. I had a new respect for these storms later..

I lived through this hurricane it was bad but not as bad as Fran. Now Fran was a bad hurricane on my opinion. But I must say that the wost hurricane I had ever lived through was Hugo. I was only seven and it feels like it was yesterday.

I remember Bertha in NC, she was a bitch. But not nearly as much a bitch as Fran was two months later!
