@xDanielx2016 Thank you, I'm actually thinking about using this video as my Tutorial Project for my Computer Graphics design class; we're required to find a video on youtube or whatever that goes over a technique not used in class, I thought this was one was pretty cool, but i yeah, it turned out to be a two part tutorial but i couldn't find the first part, but thanks to you, i can now create my own project, thanks again!

Great tutorial ! But could you help meout with something? Is it possible to like make a rollover image where the image becomes a bit bigger when your mouse comes across? I've been trying to do that but all it does is zoom in on the picture for the size of the canvas

@Doritji Hi - which version of Fireworks are you using? You just want image-based rollovers in HTML?

@cbtcafe Well actually, I changed software. I'm using webstudio 5 now since it's a lot easier to upload my site with. Thanks for the reply though, keep up the good work !

@Doritji NP and you're right about webstudio 5. FW does create rollovers but most users do it for small sites or do quickly prototype their design ideas. I never really used the features other than for fast build-outs.

@cbtcafe Well I still use FW for making banners and such to import them into webstudio. Fw is great, but not really website friendly. I would still have to import it in dreamweaver and then rebuild the slices. Publishing my website is now 1 click away ;-)

Damn, I had no idea that you can do a swap image in Fireworks. Can I also apply this if I want to switch the image for a different image period?

@cbtcafe Yes. Something that I seen in Jquery where it has that Flash like effect. I'm trying to move away from flash on my site.

i'm just curios now... (i'm just getting started learing on my own with dreamweaver and fireworks) but how do you then export that to dreamweaver? you'll be able to import it as a single file into dreamweaver?

@cadviz Sure, just click File > Export and select the HTML option and you're good. Which version of FW are you using?

Your friend is correct - Fireworks "doesn't" cause viruses. It does help you create mad designs but not viruses.

Hi. This is a complete lesson but what took place in other lessons was using various techniques for creating a selection around the woman's hat. aaa i see ..thx :) these tutorials r brilliant.. im learning a lot.. i dun suppose u can show some graphics design used in wallpapers using fireworks?

kinda like how to create smoke effects and such?

I haven't seen any great tutorials for smoke effects in Fireworks. I'm sure it's possible but I usually turn to Photoshop for those kinds of effects. I find Fireworks the best tool for selecting and removing images from backgrounds and other composite effects.
