@MiajahMarable Remember that the 1930s and 1940s was an era of easy listening, big bands and swing. Everything after 1954 comes under the era of Rock n Roll.
This music has been assimilated by our constant listening throughout the years. It' really a great manifestation of the evolution of American music. Thanks.
Best songs of 1940 - 1949.... Now wonder why my Grandfather was so pissed all the time! JK Glen Miller was the first song I learned to play on the sax and I was able to play it for my grandparents 65 anniversary 2 years before my grandfather passed away. =)

Nat King Cole is one of my all-time favorites. Thank you for posting this, I think we should learn more about our musical history, rather than the trash that's out today.
Great selection... plus the "The Fat Man" from '49! Great hit!

Jazz or Big Band as it was known became a huge influence on Rock n Roll. Perhaps more so than country swing.

In the fifties music gets better and there 's more swing and rock and roll
xaporst 6 months ago
@xaporst you mean there is more rock and roll and rhythm. Because swing defined the 40s.

@StylistecS
