  • @kc8grp MSRP on the westcoast.

  • Is this the first playing of one right price with the new stands?

  • I'm curious to when Johnny actually quit announcing the total of the prize package on Master Key. It must not have been too long; since you don't necessarily win all 3 prizes.

  • $743 for a ceiling fan?? Are you serious??? I'm an electrician, and most of the ones I install are less than $80 at Home Depot!

  • I just thought of something naughty....

    1) fill the fridge with beer

    2) use the bar to drink the beer

    3) drive while intoxicated....and hope the cops don't catch you

  • nope one right price stands premiered in 1987

  • If I'm correct, this date they were taping a pilot of Body Language I believe.

  • Did this episode mark the debut of the new stands seen in ONE RIGHT PRICE?

  • Young and the Restless at the time shared the stage with the now-defunct Press Your Luck, right?

  • That key that opened the freezer could have been the Master Key!

  • It's been more then 25 years I still miss Johnny Olson, anyone else?

  • @tpir1972 i miss him too...i miss these old days of tpir.

  • That first key should have been tried in the car or the bar set to see if it would open all three. Bob put that key down after she had only put it in the freezer's lock, when he gave her the other key.

For that Take Two theme, you can hear that synthesizer, but it is underneath the other instrument tracks.

  • That is cue head in 1 right price sounds a little different then heard later in Take Two.

  • Bob was funny in this episode. At 1:34, he made it look like it was the first show in 1972 when he mentioned the first four contestants and at 2:00, he said, "...the rest of you can go over and watch a taping of 'Young and Restless' across the hall." Funny.

  • Sorry to say this, but it will be a cold day in Hell when GSN ever acquires the rights to show these episodes again, so I thank God for YouTube, as well as Raarrow for uploading these. Bob Barker is the only host, besides Bill Cullen, who knows how to host TPIR properly. Not to say that Drew is bad, but he just doesn't have "it".

  • I was actually in L.A. on that same day. I was working part-time selling subscriptions of the Los Angeles Times at one of their subscription offices in Van Nuys. Exactly five years earlier (on October 3, 1978), my brother and I went to see a taping of this show. Unfortunately, the show aired on November 15, and we were already back in Philadelphia. I was working as a nursing home dietary aide back then, and I went up to the first floor patient dining room and saw myself on national TV.

  • This is the 4th or 5th playing?

  • I miss that BIG BANANA cue.

  • Part 2 of this of video played different version of the cues we know today.

  • Did they ever check whether the second key was the master key?

  • When did they name it 1 right price?

  • Hey guys, does any of you have the debut of Master Key, perchance??

  • That was a strange playing of Master Key it wasn't the Master Key both it opened 2 prizes on that one key.

  • This episode of TPIR aired on my third birthday!!! :D Awesome. Thanks for uploading this!

  • When did they stop announcing the total prizes in Master Key, that's strange they stopped doing that

  • Is this the first playing of Master Key?

  • Master Key was first played on March 25, 1983.

  • @nextbarker yes it is now go eat ur milk n cookies n get ur ass in bed...))

  • Was this the last episode of TPIR that GSN showed before they lost the rights?

  • No, the February 9, 1984 episode was the final episode that GSN aired.

  • That episode aired in February 1984

  • well ill say this till 5 days till doomsday, everyone that really cares about this show, need to rally towards talking with fremantle and GSN and letting TPIR back on where it belongs. And get rid of that garbage they have on today!!!!

  • Keep up with the TPIR classics with Bob Barker cause god knows when GSN will get them again.

  • amen!
