I remember Bobby Murcer's playing days. A Murcer memory of mine- after recouperating for 4 weeks in the hospital with a serious bout of salmonella food poisoning saw Murcer hit 2 mammouth homeruns against Texas Rangers at the Stadium one late August evening.(one actually appeared to have cleared the stadium although it didn't)Yankees didn't win pennant that year & I was a Mets fan.Nevertheless it was a very fun experience after spending 4 weeks in a hospital bed. Murcer was class act of Yankees.
