  • Fuck this makes me laugh

  • Bill Hicks didn't go to the gun range very often, apparently.

  • Bill would have been the perfect man to make fun of bush mk 2

  • This man should have been our president in the 80's and 90's.

  • Compared with Revelations, he seems a lot sadder and angrier in this video...

  • I should point out that Bill Hicks was NOT an atheist. He did believe in a god, but not one that identifies with a particular religion. I think you're all forgetting the line Hicks used, "You are the holy child of god, and god loves you no matter what you do".

  • Stand-Up comedy is the right approach towards religion. Religious opinions and ideas deserve just ridicule and laughter, untill superstituous morons hide in shame. Religion is poison, and creationism is the pinnacle of human stupidity. These medieval barbaric sick cults have dragged us down for too long. Its high time we end them before they end us.

  • @bary1234 yeah, if some believes something that I don't, I say we burn them

  • @grandpatarzan ; Burn them? As in humans? As in gasoline and match applied to humans?

Thats pretty fucked up right there, eh?

  • Im a christan, this is hillarious...

  • There's no tangible evidence of god nor does science know everything about the dying brain so to me its a wash. But I love watching Bill Hicks videos.

  • "lot of christians wear crosses around their necks, u think that jesus comes back he ever wants to see a fucking cross?",, lol,,, just too funnY!!!!

  • jackass. be fruitful and multiply WHEN YOU'RE MARRIED. when God designed you to have sex....

  • @DonHamburger

Simply not true. Take a look at the studies. Almost no atheist comprehends Christianity. And very few if any have ever read the bible.

I've tested many and never find any that have any idea.

  • @dex1391 Utter bullshit - most atheists were christians in the first place, as it has always had the weakest hold over its sheep. The other 2 major religions have strong adherence to their nuttiness of choice, whereas christians cant even agree among themselves about which "version" is right. Its stunning that in 2011 people are clinging to this brainwashing harder than ever. Test away.

  • @Snarkathon

LOL it's not bullshit. Come on now. You know its true. Look at the majroity of atheists. They're all kids.

Look at the ages of the youtube posters that are atheists... they're kids.

Sorry but someday you'll grow up and grow out of this silliness too.

  • @dex1391 Yuh, majority, most, very few - facts people, facts :)

Im almost 47 & that is the lamest defence for being right, that the opposition are mostly kids.

    Test away, whenever youre ready.

  • @Snarkathon

LOL... yes... you claim to be 47

And even if that were true... It doesn't change the fact...

Like I said... Look at the ages on these pages... mostly kids.

    Test you? On the bible...?

OK... Where is God? According to the bible... and where is that info in the bible?

  • @dex1391 and Im the alleged juvenile. That is just ridiculous. First, young people (whatever that means) cant be right. Now youre paranoid im actually masquerading as one of these 'kids'. Youre looking at the ages of these "kids" and determining who is telling the truth.

Ill be semi-lame and ask which bible? Psalms 139 says he is omnipresent, meaning present everywhere. Ill go with that, its as true as any place hes not.

  • @Snarkathon

    I'm making generalizations here.

Yes... it's true that most of these atheists are kids... and yes... they'll grow out of it.

And with the biblical question... nope... try again. Keep googling.. lol

  • @dex1391 nooo?? really? :) Just like "most" of them will grow out of it, which again, evidence shows is not happening.

It cant get any more predictable, hence the inability of even christians to agree with one another. Ill say X, youll say Y, and you will even find christians, who will disagree with your answer.

The Pew study is wrong because there are 'kids' on YT that agree with it?

    Im done. Peace.

  • @Snarkathon

The evidence is fairly evident. You don't see many adults that are atheists. What happens to these kids that are atheists when they grow up?

You know how many X atheists I've run into over the age of 30?

    Quite a few.

And I thought you could answer the question? Hmmmm Guess not..

  • @dex1391 I don't know a single religious adult. But on the other hand, I live in a country with sane people.

  • @Alex4uall

    Yes... sane brainwashed children...

  • @dex1391 I guess you've never been to Sweden? Lol. Haha. Plus the number has nothing to do with anything. It's not about the number of people you have for your claim. It's about the evidence that you have behind it.

  • @KingWithoutaCause

Cool... love to see your evidence...

  • @dex1391 Evidence for what? Lol. You do know I'm an Atheist correct? That means I don't believe in your god or any of the others. That being said. I'm making a NEGATIVE assertion in response to your POSITIVE assertion. So the burden of proof is on you since you are claiming to believe in these gods. That's as simple as it gets.

  • @KingWithoutaCause

    Yes evidence.

Why should I become an atheist? Do you believe that I should convert simply because you say so?

Sorry but the burden of proof fallacy won't work on me. Debate techniques won't work. The only thing that will work is actual evidence.

  • @dex1391 1. How said you should become an Atheist? I did simply because I didn't have a choice. I simply don't believe in any gods because there are no reason to. The same reason I don't believe in Santa Clause. 2. If you are interested in truth then I think you should convert. 3. This isn't a "debate technique". Lol. It's common sense. If you make a claim on something it is your god to provide evidence. If I tell you I'm 6 foot I must provide evidence. I can't ask you to provide evidence.

  • @KingWithoutaCause Don't bother. They don't understand that argument.

  • @dex1391 atheists mostly kids who will 'grow out of it'? what arogant nonscence. perhaps you have failed to consider that youtube has a predominently younger user base thus massively skewing your stats. There is no obvious age correlation to belief or unbelief, and even if there was there would be no good reason to ascribe undue significance to it. Peoples reasons for belief/unbelief are much more complicated. And sorry, plenty of adult atheists, maybe they just keep quiet round your way ;)

  • @Quareat

Bull... who cares what you kids think anyway..

  • @dex1391 looking at the 'sophistication' of your posts and the thoughtless reactionary nature of your opinions are you sure you are not a kid yourself? you can never tell what lurks behind these internet personas. ;)

  • @Quareat

Whatever.. I'm sure that someday you'll grow up

  • @dex1391 brilliant, what else you got?

  • @DonHamburger

Actually no.... that's a misconception. What those surveys show is that atheists know more about non-Christian religions ... than Christians. It doesn't show that atheists know more about religion than those in that religion.

That'd be like saying that people that don't eat know more about cooking than chefs...

  • i didnt tell yu bout wat mood id be in did id fuckers

  • @DonHamburger thats interesting , gues it just depends on how you look at it.

  • @DonHamburger thats interesting

  • Wasn't 'Be fruitful and multiply' BEFORE sxe was INVENTED?

  • Yippee

  • having a cross around your neck is strange. It would be like me carrying a gun around my neck because I think Abraham Lincoln was a great guy.

  • Epic Genius: "Do you think if Jesus ever came back he'd wanna see a fuckin cross?"

  • Dude... If Jesus comes back I want him to sound like Duke Nukem!

  • Grease-balls unite!

  • "...We civilised men, on the other hand, do our utmost to check the process of elimination; we build asylums for the imbecile, the maimed, and the sick; we institute poor-laws; and our medical men exert their utmost skill to save the life of every one to the last moment...Thus the weak members of civilised societies propagate their kind... [Charles Darwin: "The Descent of Man," 1871 ed. vol. I, p. 168]

  • @FinallyTheNight

Are you one of these religious idiots who quote-mines Darwin and shows his work out of context to try to make it seem like he was in favor of eugenics?

Well, at least you didn't use the staple creationist quote about the evolution of the eye "seeming absurd" to try to disprove evolution.

Actually, I realize you aren't the one who did the quote-mining; you just found it on a creationist website and cut & pasted it without putting any critical thought into its validity.

  • @jimbrown257 As a gay activist you've seen it all, of course. You are troubled. I shall help you.

  • @FinallyTheNight this 'grease-ball' will always be remembered by his fans has a brilliant comedian.

What are you besides a anonymous asian religious bias asshole with no sense of humor?

It isn't nice to be insulted is it? think about that before you insult another person, especially a deceased one.

  • @ZZzzzzzWhat : Your command of English is poor.

  • "The prince of peace is back, but hes pissed offf!" ROFLMFAO!!!!

  • This comment was removed by rednecks

  • I live in Alabama.

    What he says is true.....

  • Jesus with an Uzi. . . I fucking hate pancreatic cancer.

  • Miss you Bill!

  • The Bible does have a centrefold. It's the Song of Solomon.

  • @NevilleRhysBarnes I know...I have shot on it before.....and wiped my hands on it

  • All hail fred phelps of the WestBozo Fascist Church!

Oh sweet mercy mild, hail the pope the pedophile.

  • @mena654 atheism is not a belief. It means you deny the existance of a god. It doesn't necessarily mean you believe in the big bang theory.

  • @ChinnuWoW with that line of thinking, then Christianity is not a belief is means you expouse the existance of a God and trust in His son Jesus - of course atheist is a belief. You believe there is no God, you can't prove it, but you believe it (likely because of lack of proof on the other side) - I'm am not knocking your belief, but your definition.

  • @grandpatarzan Atheists don't believe there is no god. They don't believe that there is a god. Atheism is the rejection of the belief in the claim that there is a god. Not a completely new claim that there is no god. It's a disbelief, not a belief. If atheism is a religion, then buddhists have 2 religions.

  • he takes a funny thought turns it into a funny line and then carries it on & on until it is no longer funny

  • @grandpatarzan ofcourse you are speaking of jesus right....

  • @makersmark90 I suppose that line could be funny if it made any sense at all

  • is the audince fucking dead?!

  • @H4L0K1LL4

It's was shot in Canada, their sense of humour is a bit more refined when it comes to satire, well at least it used to be 10 years ago. Watch Bills show in England or Belfast, people in the UK and Ireland have a very dark sense of humour, hence why Bill so popular over there

  • @H4L0K1LL4 it could be that he is not really very funny

  • @H4L0K1LL4 no - just the jokes are

  • Why do priests always molest kids?

  • @ArcyTheFurryArcanine

Because those kids are so dam sexy!

  • @ArcyTheFurryArcanine Jesus loved children, the priests love them a lil' bit more than Jesus did. ^_^

  • That bit about the three rednecks was fucking genius!

  • I like how the audience seems a little afraid to laugh.

  • A Worthless Race, ACCORDING TO GOD-But you, draw near, you sons of a sorceress, adulterous, wanton race! Of whom do you make sport, at whom do you open wide your mouth, and put out your tongue? Are you not a rebellious children, a worthless race;" (Isaiah 57:3-4 NAB

  • @TheMoTucker - Although I don't like religion, I do believe in Jesus through personal experience, and I found this video to be profoundly and movingly pro-Christ all the way through.

  • @IdaSputum Matthew 18:3 (New Century Version)

3 Then he said, "I tell you the truth, you must change and become like little children. Otherwise, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

  • @TheMoTucker - brilliant. Though science has yet to devise a method by which to accurately measure the vastness of the arrogance God faces.

  • @IdaSputum Yea science is going to make huge leaps foreward as soon as religious nuts realize that they have been living a lie ever since their so called "rebirth." It's all a lie, religioun brings in millions and billions a year. and they always need a little more money. GIVE THEM MONEY, YEA RIGHT!!!!!!

  • @TheMoTucker Well that's according to whoever wrote the bible, some narrowminded fool in israel 2000 years ago. I gotta agree though, humanity is pretty worthless if we fall for such lies so easily.

  • @merjguitar Yea people are blind-puppets and slaves to their wants and needs.

  • LMAO 3:00 pure gold hahahahahahahahahaha im crying for god sakes XD

  • one of the greats

  • Adults with imaginary friends are stupid. PERIOD!

  • @the0world0sucks it doesnt matter what religion he slams because all religions are the same, THEIR FAKE

  • @the0world0sucks He's dead, Rocco. Can't "slam Islam" then.

  • @the0world0sucks Bill Hicks died in 1994 before Islam was part of your national conscious. The Bush he refers to is the senior of the two. Had he still been around, I'm sure he would have slammed Islam, and junior just as hard.

  • @the0world0sucks

Now islamists are offended for not beeing joked about.

What is this world coming too lolzzz.

  • @the0world0sucks Islam wasn't at the front of people's minds back then. Remember this was in the early 90s.

  • haha the end was good

  • I can just sense a "I am availible for childrens parties" at the end there!

  • george carlin on religion

also a good one check it out

    bill hicks ftw!

  • george carlin is the funniest guy ever

  • "Then forgive me!"

    Nice.

  • I miss Bill! He was in a class of his own.

  • I love how this is labled under educational

  • A label it earns.

  • @beatles61 yes ... so true.... bill hicks and people like him teach more than schools do., and thats real

  • @beatles61 hahahah

  • Bill is the greatest.

    All I have to say...

  • xD

    :P

  • Bill Hicks looks like a younger version of the actor John Larroquette.

  • It's kind of curious that most hard-line christians I know are pro-war, pro-gun, pro-death penalty. Seems to be a bit at odds with the teachings of Jesus.

  • Well, Jesus was pro-death penalty. Otherwise, he wouldn't have submitted to the Crucifixion.

  • Yeah, either that or he was just a mortal man, who was powerless to stop it. Just a thought...

  • What evidence??

  • What?!! Religion has contradictions?! Wow, who woulda thunk? :P

  • 'find salvation through me or not at all' is an ultimatum.

Issuing punitive ultimatums is a terrorist tactic.

It doesn't surprise me that religion appeals most to people who seem to be missing the sort of deep empathy that makes premeditated murder unthinkable. They also seem to lack the intellectual capacity to realize that it isn't a terribly punitive measure since the person you're trying to punish is left unable to realize they're being punished. As if god needs their permission.

  • Do you think the elected politicians who espouse this creationism clap-trap believe it themselves? I truly think they are complete sociopaths who would do and say anything for political power. How is it that none of the US politicians, at least the ones I know of, state they are atheists or even agnostic. Statistically it just doesn't make any sense.

  • They're lying because they have to. Religious people consistently report they will not vote for an atheist. And they mean it too. The thing is, if someone is cowardly enough to endorse a dictator they believe is threatening them, or morally indolent enough to think a jealous god is worthy of respect, or inane enough to miss what nonsense their dogma speaks--if someone meets all of those qualifications, do we really want them to be doing anything besides exploring their imaginary fantasy kingdom?

  • fabulous !! simply great! love it!

  • Magnificent - the greatest comedian of all time IMHO

  • so funnyyy!

  • Comment removed

  • Double Standard: political correctness requires that every society tolerates at least one religious or ethnic scapegoat that can be blasphemed; ridicled...even openly hated...conservative christians are that group in our society...You will recall in the past it was Blacks, Jews, Gays, and foreign "heathen" in general, these of course now are considered "off limits" and it the height of bad taste to make light of their strange manners or beliefs by those "enlighted ones" who decide such matters

  • "strange manners or beliefs"?! christians have a lot of power, I think it will take w while till their "sufferings" will have reached those of the Jews or gays or blacks. You will notice though that the "ridicule" in this particular clip is directed at the religion itself rather than at the people who follow it. You will also notice that it was mainly Christians who where responsible for that hatred towards minorities. SO I would say they're finally getting what they deserve

  • You're a bit long winded. Didn't really make a point worth listening to. Think I'm gonna kill myself now...

  • don't let me stop you

  • ok.

  • lolololololol you two are cool

  • We get it from you...

  • Very funny clip of Bill though . XD

  • The only thing I always find to be odd is that it's usually christianity 9 out of 10 times that is criticized ? Out of all the know religions , it seems that it gets singled out the most . Not judaism , buddhism , hindus , islam ( only the extremists ) , nor satanist , etc ......... Why is christianity so hated ? christianity doesn't force it's belief system on people any more or less than any other religions do . Just a thought .

  • Because the only comedians that can make jokes about religion without being executed do so in the West, where their home countries label themselves "Christian".

  • here is Egypt if anybody does the same abt islam shits he will be eated alive by the common ppl thats if the government didnot excute him !

i always do but with my close friends !!! lol

    ex-muslim atheist down here

  • because christians are stupid?

  • You're right to a degree but here in the West Christianity still dominates and so is the "local and familiar face of Religion". Living in countries where we still cling to free speech it's our privilege if not duty to mock these silly cults.

As an equal-opportunities Atheist I regard all Religions with a similar contempt - but as I was raised as a Catholic by very devout parents, Christianity is where I have the first hand exposure to a set of ludicrous beliefs and blatant lies.

  • @intruder313 If they would put more emphasis on the importance of ultimate love for one another, we probably wouldn't look down on them so much. Shame, shame.

  • one of the greatest comedians of all time

  • not a comedian

    a preacher :d

  • Absolutely hilarious and I probably don't even need to explain why.

Did anyone else notice when he talking about the nuclear armaments at 2:06-2:07 what he does with his finger? I thought it was pretty appropriate.

  • "I said 'Then Forgive me!'"

    Gotta love this guy!

  • This is about Bush Senior not Bush junior...

  • Religion will eventually be eradicated. HOW?

well, we humans r always improving there r ups and downs but overall its up, atheism is overall up. in the past people were executed for being atheist, now some countries in the world r almost all atheist.

  • yea, am seeing alot more people, stop believing in crapy stories they read, i love it how more people are now believing more in their selves than in an all powerfull homo guy.

  • ''Then forgive me'' LMFAO!!! Bill, I'll have a drink in your memory tonight, brilliant common sense, I agree with every word.

  • ohhh God. I pity people like you. Wasting your life on something that Isent even there. I hope the best for you and that one day you open your eyes to science. And it can happen because this is coming from a former chrisitan. By the way , its people like you that keep people away from chrisitanity. Dont use a message of fear.

  • I pity people like you. All science can do is prolong life. That's it. People working together though . . . that can offer much more than science can ever do.

Having the previous sentences being a foundation for my following thought, I ask you sincerely:

If we were to implement an atheistic mindset onto everyone in the world, how do you suppose we get everyone in the world to get along well enough for the human race to devote their lives to science?

  • "how do you suppose we get everyone in the world to devote their lives to science"

the "well enough" is to admit that no singular person is superior to the next in this event people don't fight and without fighting we make peace and peace is pretty good if you ask me. plus if we didn't have science you wouldn't be typing that message science is applied to alot of things in life so don't go running your mouth off everytime someone doesn't believe in the invsible man in the sky.

  • the "well enough" is to admit that no singular person is superior to the next in this event people don't fight and without fighting we make peace and peace is pretty good if you ask me."

Easier said than done. Go ask the drug runners in South America, the big top CEOs who probably participate in underground sex trades, the drug dealers in the city if they believe in God -- they would probably laugh in your face, say no, and than some, most likely the drug runners, would probably kill you.

  • "plus if we didn't have science you wouldn't be typing that message . . ."

No, if it wasn't for the ideas and the working of man, I wouldn't have this keyboard. I thank the people who made it, not the reasoning for it.

"science is applied to alot of things in life so don't go running your mouth off everytime someone doesn't believe in the invsible man in the sky."

I don't believe in the "invisible man in the sky" and most Christians I know don't either. To put a face on God is madness.

  • do you realize that engineering is using technical and scientific knowledge together?

and do you realize that not only have you never seen god there is no evidence to support your claim that he exists?

  • "do you realize that engineering is using technical and scientific knowledge together?"

Yes and get to your point or don't respond to me.

"and do you realize that not only have you never seen god there is no evidence to support your claim that he exists?"

There is plenty of evidence, but no proof to support my claim. Here is my strongest evidence -- there is evil in the world. Lot's of evil in this world, and if you think that the greatest evil is religion, well than I pity you.

  • engineers actually do things you know like make houses and technology you know what engineers should be doing.

i don't think religion is evil i simply think that there isn't an invisble person that created a 65 million year old planet and said that its 6000 years old even though we have gone through geological studies. i also don't believe that the world is flat and if a religous person drinks poison they will survive.

  • "engineers actually do things you know like make houses and technology you know what engineers should be doing."

You know engineers could be accomplishing much more if they taught everyone how to be an engineer -- getting ideas from all over the place -- considering they aren't the smartest of the bunch.

I remember engineers building a handicapped bathroom on the top floor of a school -- with no elevator to get to the top floor -- 6 years of education and that's what they have to show for it?

  • thats not all engineers. and if you think engineers are bad than try living without an engineers work so no houses, tents,tv,computers, laptops, tables, water filters, etc. i garuntee that would wouldn't survive so i suggest you think about what say first.

  • " . . . engineers are bad than try living without an engineers work so no houses, tents,tv,computers, laptops, tables, water filters, etc. i garuntee that would wouldn't survive so i suggest you think about what say first."

Considering I am going to school (only my first year though) to become an engineer I don't really care to respond to everything you just said.

Two, my brother, becoming a priest built his own computer and laptop -- so you don't need an engineer for that . . .

  • what did he make the computer out of? and without the knowledge of how computers are buit you wouldn't be able to do that.

  • I think engineering is great and it's fascinating but let me pose this question for you . . .

What's the use of having engineers build all these fancy cars and homes when in the future humans won't have the money to buy them?

After that question, answer me this. What's the point of buying all those materials when the truth of reality is that all people want is to have ecstatic experiences shared with people that they love -- as opposed to owning a surplus of matter?

  • why wouldn't people have the money to buy them? because their throwing away their money to the church where they use it to build their multi million dollar mansions?

not all people what is ecstatic experiences they might want enjoyment like video games or movies.you will also want materials like telescopes to discover more or books to hear different perspectives in other words knowledge. many people can live by themselves perfectly fine and still have a bunch of materials.

  • "many people can live by themselves perfectly fine and still have a bunch of materials."

Yes many people can, until they start cryptically worshiping each idol as a God. It's possible for an item or object be treated as an idol and worshiped by an individual without the individual even knowing it.

Don't believe me -- fine. That would be your loss not mine.

  • if people choose to idolize their materials thats fine buti'm pretty sure if he started bowing down to it and praying to it he'd know something.

  • "why wouldn't people have the money to buy them? because their throwing away their money to the church where they use it to build their multi million dollar mansions?"

I believe Jesus Christ was the Son of God, and I was technically homeless for a month, always moving from rental home/apartment to another rental home/apartment. It would be a greatly wrong assumption to think everyone who is faithful is greedy and luxurious items.

  • i didn't say that everyone who is faithful is greedy or some sort of product from a luxurious company. its just that the church is sucking out the money from the poor and gullable.

  • Not necessary true. Yes there are corrupt churches -- just as there are corrupt governments, corrupt courts, corrupt schools, corrupt police officers, corrupt families etc.

I went on a mission trip for a summer remodeling homes for the less fortunate in Kentucky. The family I helped wasn't even religious. But we help put in a new floor and started to remodel his wall -- the next set of people were going to finish it.

Does that sound like corruption to you, or does that sound like kindness?

  • i'm not talking about kindness or corruption.and what do you mean not necessarily true bush is a religous person and stated that and why do you change the subject so much???? you even forgot my statement about if you were religous or not.STOP CHANGING THE SUBJECT.

  • "STOP CHANGING THE SUBJECT."

I'm not changing the subject, I'm destorying your arguments.

If a serial killer claims he is a the Son of God, I won't believe it. I would figure that:

    A) He is lying and just making a profound claim to substantiate his actions

    B) He truly believes what he is saying -- but is just highly misguided

In the case of George Bush, he claims he is a Christian, but I do not necessary believe it. For same reasons I mentioned above (look up at letter A and letter B).

  • destroying my arguments? wow you changed the subject from engineering to this if you ask me thats a big change. so you think that bush isn't christian but for some reason makes all these statements as if he were?

  • " . . .bush isn't christian but for some reason makes all these statements as if he were?"

I am simply pointing out the fact that he could be lying, or he could think he is Christian but has been highly misguided to understand Jesus' words.

I am also going to state for the record, that he may indeed be a Christian and I am not one to judge his deeds.

You have to understand that some people lie about who they are, and sometimes those very people actually believe their lie.
