I have a theory about River. SHe was there at the doctors death in the impossible astronought. so the space person cannot be her, she would not have been able to be there if it was. the astronaught is someone else. AND in the 5th seris:

Doc: Are you married River? River: Are you asking? Doc: Yes. River: Yes (Yes I will marry you!) Doc: No sorry did you think i was asking you to marry me or if you were married? River: Yes

So, yes she is married and yes to marrier to the doctor!

@Seamonkey555: Not at all, I think it's hilariously timey-wimey and a very Doctor Who-ish thing to happen! I admit the relationship /might/ turn weird if the Doctor spends time with Melody while she is still a child and she first sees him as a kind of "uncle", but I have faith in the Moff that he won't do that! =) I have no problem with her being a Pond and the Doctor having met her as a baby - after all, the 9th Doctor met Rose as a baby, too, and was on good terms with Jackie and Pete, right?
