Bleh I type too much sometimes, one last thing: I've actually never used the b-sticking control scheme before so think you could explain for someone who hasn't?
B-sticking means that you set the C-Stick on the Gamecube controller to Specials instead of smashes. That's all it is. It allows you to do 5:28 super easy.
I gotta say, this series is by far the most help anyone has done for me in trying to get better with Lucario. Smashwiki led me to your text guide, that led me here, and I can already feel my game with Lucario getting better <3
I've mained him since the game was released in North America, so I've already known a lot about his style, like his two Reverse specials and such but... Around 5:28 or so, I've tried that a few times and can't do it... I'd love to learn how, lol. Awesome series, Milln!
Say you're moving left/facing left: In quick succession, Jump, Flick the stick to the right, Press B, flick the stick to the left. It's gotta be done really quick. You can hear the taps in the vid.
Ah, gotcha. I see what I was doing wrong then; I went by aforementioned tap sounds, and pressed B and then flicked both directions immediately... Oops.
Just finished watching 11 and gonna try that Extremestop/shift stuff next. Realize the series is sorta old, but still pretty helpful. Entertaining too, love watching stuff with fun commentary. Don't have many friends irl to play against for now though, same boat as you lol.
ExtremeStop and ExtremeShift are nigh useless unless you're playing Brawl+ XD ExtremeHog is great, though. The series is great for a refresher on the basics. Also, i've got some friends now. Started going to tournaments and found a group that plays regularly.
Oh nice, everyone I know is a PS3 or 360 fanboy, no Wii for them. And yeah, ExtremeHog I actually knew about before but forgot about entirely, lol. Also, managed to pull off the pseudo-sticking thing, I had to slow down the time in training; I started at 1/4 and can do it relatively easy at around 2/3 now, so thanks again XD
6:00 That is another pain in the ass move to pull off, i only did it once, also if you have time, awnser me this. For lucario you must have ap jump on, like the original settings for controllers right? you can train with it off but it wont do any good since you need it on im asuming.
For some reason (not on wifi) but i can use weird combos with tap jump on instead of off, plus having it off allows me to use Up B :/ on every other character i use i don't use tap jump or it screws up my Up tilt, then again i suck with tilts i need more training on those -_-
I cant do that pseudo stick thing right...do we tap special then c-stick opposite direction or the movement stick opposite direction? I just cant do it :(..
Lucario + ledge + huge ledge grab + almost always getting back on ledge + constant attacks from lucario in the air while trying to get back on ledge (AKA Pain!!!) = Player's worst nightmare or Player getting REALLY irritated and angry.
I think Lucario is the "New Wall of Pain" as far as recovery goes.
Wow I'll try it with fox (his lasers). Lol it's too hard to use lasers in B-sticking because you have to press it lightly. And I never use c-stick for smashes, I just never could get used to it. Same with jump. When Brawl came out, I found out that you were able to jump with the X and Y buttons. I was like WTF?? Your vids are very helpful, thanks for uploading.
OMG!!!! Thank you so much, i love you, this is the best B-sticking video out there and now thanks to you i am able to finally b-stick with an AS and i was able to do it first try. WOOOOO!!!!
Milln! How much practice did it tale you until you got decent at psuedo-sticking like in this video (although you must be really good at it now) I can only get it right every other 5 tries.
W00t! I'm able to Pseudo Stick now XD. I still have problems doing it on the ledge though =.=;, but I'll keep practicing. God, your Inner Fire vids are full of win, Milln. xD
Ah, this would be interesting to see. I usually have problems with his ledgehop, as it's much slower than other characters I play. Ledgehop FP is interesting, but using a laggy move from a laggy ledgehop isn't my cup of tea x(

Cool you can B-stick without the c-stick...

I never knew you could "B stick" without using the B stick. That will go into my book of tricks. (like how good forward tilt is.)
I liked the ability to wavebounce, but i always use my C stick for fast down air right after i jump.
I shall go put this into use right now. (or at least try.)

It's tough. Took me a couple hours to even realize I did something special. Then a couple more to realize how quick the stickflick had to be. D=
Also. No. YOU guys are full of win, for being supportive. <3

Next week should be how to create a wall of hit boxes with Lucario if you're coming back from the edge, or on the stage as well.
