@TimeSplittersChimp More or less, it contains the "Main" story. Everything else that is Civil War, such as, X-men Civil War, Spider-man Civil War are side stories. More like how the Civil War affected all of the marvel people
Sorry man, I'm a nub too, but as a Manga reader, I like reading things start to finish, but I hear that comics are split up into many different books or something like that, if I buy that one book, will it pretty much show the whole story from start to finish? if you know what I mean lol dont wanna waste extra money for, it's also for my nephew who loves super heros. Thanks!
@Chu4Lyfe Well comics are just like manga, the difference is that manga often consist of one story line, like One Piece, most never cross, like you never hear about Luffy from One Piece meeting Ichigo from Bleach. Comics have crossing storylines for various reasons. The comic I reviewed above, Civil War, is pretty easy to pick up and get into and from their it leads to the initiative and then secret invasion & then dark avengers, it's fairly easy to keep up with. If you have any questions, PM me
@busorenkin8 well, i just want to know if it shows the start to finish of the civil war, like is it one whole story? i remember seeing a spiderman civil war book last i check borders, and i was kind of worried that i'd have to buy that too. i just want to know if it will show the beginning, and then the fall of XX at the end of the book. ? if this makes any sense. i dont really want to buy any other books, other then civil war.
@Chu4Lyfe In a way yes, the book marked CIvil War tells the overall story and how it affects the marvel universe, the ones like spiderman or wolverine are for their individual storylines and if you don't read them, you can still follow the civil war story with ease ( to be honest, I skipped over about two civil war storylines, like those). Like I said, Civil War leads into The Initiative which leads into Secret Invasion which leads into Dark Avengers.
@01DRose01 Single Issue Comics may have variants but I have the TPB (sometimes I wait for certain series to come as Trade PaperBack books because they can sometimes be cheaper than single issue comics).
I would try your local comic store or try MidTown Comics online, they have a phone number they can be reached at as well.
@01DRose01 You're welcome, there are also great Marvel comics out now, including The Deadpool series, X-men Xenogenesis and The New Avengers (yes...another new avengers, it takes places after Dark Avengers which happened after Secret Invasion, which happened after Civil War )
@DeadliestBrawler You could read The Initiative, but if you don't, it's not a hug deal, it just continues with the idea of the fifty state hero initiative, what I would probably recommend are reading some of Dark Reign, including the main story and some of side stories, like Hawkeye and Venom.
yeah i have a question witch comic is the real civil war storie is it just one or more and if so witch one is it i bought some civil war comics today but i want the on where i can read the storie from the begiining to the end pleas help
I insis that in this story Captain America acted off character, generally Cap obeys the government without questioning it at all, Ironman defies it, an example of this is the Armor Wars Saga, where tony Stark, wants to retrieve stolen technology , and he doesnt care some of it is in the hand of the U:S. government, that pits him against Captain America( Captain at that time), that is one example. Trhere are many Rogers was always a yes man, no matter what.
I liked this story up until issue 3, from down there the story lost its rythm, and even at some point became silly. The major complaint i have about it is there are no consequences, Spidermans unmasking, and Captain America s death, well we all knew tht wouldnt last, so why write a story that doesnt affect anything?, and Cap seemed of character to me , see in most comic stories it was Cap who followed the government orders, Ironman the guy who went rogue.
The basic story of civil war is the book I am holding in the video, but there are seperate stories involving different characters and how they are affected by the marvel civil war
Dude this was the worst review ever. Luckily i just finished it. You didn't review it, you killed the whole story with a 4 minutes of a spoiler! Sorry bro but thats wrong man...
How do youu feel about the ending, was it gripping, how would the hardcore fan see t, how would the casual fan see it?
What about the up coming game. Should you read this first?
And dude the thing was monotone.
I know i sound harsh man but you really need to cut alot of the summary out and actually review it
I am sorry to disappoint you, but many of my subscribers seem to like my summaries of the story, I dont give everything away, there are many pieces of the story missing for readers to enjoy, I will take your suggestions into account though, thanks for watching
dude, dont get me wrong, your summary is great. but thats what it is. Forget the advice about the review then, except, dont call it a review bro, a review has as little spoilers as possible if any. this is a summary. as a summary i'd give it 5*. as a review i'd give it less if it would let me go under 1. imagin reading a review about the new avengers film and it tells you absolutely every thing. i'd be pissed. Calll it a summary with a spoiler warning, understand what mean?
They're actually still doing a comic based off of his death but he was shot.
Red Skull was implicated. But from what I understand, the gun may not have been a regular gun and something else, a mystery, sorry, cant remember everything
This is cool, I read this one, but there are two things I didn't understand. Daredevil has a silver dallar gives it to Ironman and says "guess thats 31 pieces of silver you got now judas" and also Spider-man says his girlfriend died of a broken neck?
Daredevil was referring to the bible where Jesus was betrayed by Judas for 30 pieces of silver. As for Spiderman, I dont know either, Mary Jane is fine, unless he meant the girl he loved before Mary Jane.
i always wondered do you think Peter loves MJ more than he ever loved Gwen? also does peters aunt may eve die? And finally what does Ant man do exactly. I mean i know he can shrink down to ant sizeand in some stories grow giant, but can he control ants and grow them.
Ok, in order, Peter loved Gwen up until and for a time, after her death. In one sotry, he is given a new life and he is married to Gwen. To the best of my knowledge, aunt may is still alive. Ant Man has the power to shrink to ant size but retain human strength and communicate with ants using his helmet.
This is right before Ed Brubakers run of Capt America right??? I just got my Omnibus today and I'm loving it. Any Idea when Marvel plans on releasing the second one??
Animated movie would make more sense, less special effects and set design, more money into animation and the story, I think the people who worked on Gotham Knight should work on it
I was thinking more like Hulk vs meets Gothan Knight with a little Avengers mixed in, of course, two main points of animated movies are Animation and Voice Acting, if you have one but not the other, the film suffers
i've read the TPB for the main series and i have seen the side stories as well but there are alot of them. i didn't know if there was a particular order to read them in or if its just all willy nilly however you want to and the websites i have looked at don't help much. you think you could help me out?
Sure , Frontline, you can read it before the TPB but in your situation, you can read it after, in all honesty, you dont even have to read all the other civil war comics, marvel makes sure every comic talks about what happened in the past to explain the current but when it comes down to it, there is no real order to read them, I had the same problem and thats what a comic store owner told me.
Easy, those are side stories that connect to the main civil war story, Wolverine's story is also connected to Nitro after he escapes from the town where he killed all those kids, so basically, if you read those, make sure to read the original.
It was a brief review, the reality is, Civil War spans several comics that have many overlapping stories but arent entirely neccessary to read for the average comic reader.
is it just 1 book, that will contain the full storey ?
