I still have the vinyl lp. Reminds me of my first year of university and discovering great Canadian (local) bands via MuchMusic. That's back when Much used to be good.
Was there a CD version of the record? I probably won't ever get around to ripping the vinyl to digital files.
@TheHistrionics No CD version is commercially available. It's up to you Histrionics. You need to rip your vinyl to CD to immortalize it. Would be awesome if you could convert i to MP3 to share with those of us who never got the song on any media. I remember hearing it on the local college radio station at Michigan State University and I scoured the local record stores to find it but no one even knew what I was talking about. If only the internet existing back then...
Y'know the intro to Town Crier is wrecked on the CBC site, and the record skip on Hot Sand leaves me too disgraced to face forgiven. Where's a late eighties guy gotta blow in the computer age to get decent cuts and the rest of the "sessions"? If it were me I would just assign it to some temp.

I played this in high school along with "Here Comes Your Man" (Pixies) in 2010 just before summer vacation. A couple kids had heard of the Pixies and more had heard the song, Here Comes Your Man, but the whole class liked "Walk the Plank" and the Replicas way better. I thought, "What's wrong with these kids? The Pixies are cool!" - Bill Nye the sub
Glad to see this up! These guys were the missing link between college rock and shoegaze, and could conceivably hit the jackpot if they's stuck it out a bit longer, and maybe moved to London. Fantastic stuff!
What a great track and great band. Way ahead of their time. And all these years I thought they were British. They would have fit in perfectly with the Madchester scene which was soon to follow!
I too have been searching for this for years and can't believe someone posted it. I recall seeing it on MuchMusic a couple of times in the mid-'80s. Definitely ahead of its time.
I've been searching for this for years! Such a shame the band broke up, I'm pretty sure they were well on their way to becoming a staple in Canadian rock. Very ahead of their time.

I think the singer's owner of a health food store in TO now.

Reminiscent of "strawberry wine" from My Bloody Valentine--hippy shoegazer folk. Nice! Thanks for uploading this!

Great album and then some a&*^%$# stole their instruments. Great tune and I really like the use of colour in the vid.
