I don't believe 2Pac ever sold his soul, his music was too real. At first he came out real political and street oriented. By the time the Thug Life album came out, he was more about the street game, Me Against The World was a VERY personal album, and All Eyez On Me was a up beat album, yet very street and rugged cause of his jail time, and Makaveli the 7th Day Theory, well, that was a mix of everything. The only thing 2Pac is guilty of is being too real for the world to handle.

For me Tupac was a poet and when he talked about the dark, the evil, material possession, everything that has to do with material, he was just using those words as a point of reference to paint a picture of the world we are living in. In his interviews Tupac was pointing out that he remmebered the world as a more peaceful place, but now days everything seem is going the wrong way.
