  • hey man just curious, this just happend to me as well, could you not repair the case instead of replacing it?

  • @Garfield936, i think if you could have found the peice that cracked out you probably could have used some alumi-fast or JB weld and fixed the case but where the hole was on mine and the damage done to the clutch linkage would have been hard to fix without just changing the case. It really depends how big of a whole it made in the case, you could definitely just fix the cas without swapping to new cases.

  • @123ewq thanks or the quick reply, mine looks exactly like yours, so i'm thinking i should probably do the same, on the search for a 1996 cr250 LH crank case..wish me luck

  • what kind of oil yu use for the crank cash on tht 125?

  • where did you get the crank case, im selling my 2005 honda crf 70 and i need a new crank case

  • @bestbiker94, i got it off of thumpertalk (its a forum website) Make an account there and post something saying what you need and someone might just have it.

  • What did you do to your bike!

  • Im in the same process on my CR125, how did you go about putting the crank back in? rubber mallet, there are specific tools for it but dont want to spend laods and loads i=on it, already set me back £350

  • I bet that cost you some bucks. While you have it apart I suggest you replace all the bearing seals and gaskets,I would even put a new crank and rod in it aswell, If you already found a bad bearing how long will the others last If you blow the bottom rod bearing you will be doing all that work again. Then install a new chain and sprockets so that wont happen again.Good luck getting it all back together and I hope to see you ripping it up soon .Jay

  • Since i got a used case the prev owner left all the bearing in and they were all good but one, i ended up replacing like 2 or so. Now i have a whole set of used back up ones, i guess it probably would have been smart to get a new crank and rod but i was already in the whole about 500 bucks. I probably should of though. I'm actually reusing the same chain since its a pretty new DID gold chain but i did get a new STEEL front sprocket instead of a flimsy aluminum 1. Thanks for the comment. Zach

  • I can't wait to see you riding again dude. These videos might help me sometime when I get myself a 125. The maintenance on a 4 stroke is so bad, lol. Good video.
