@Tobysaysno23 Dude no way! This movie was the BOMB! You need to watch it without your cell phone dude! Go to 97 M o vi es. Co M and turn off your cell phone! You will love it!
Are throws that effective against wrestlers? Because everytime I move in to throw they just sprawl, and I end up opening myself up to an easy take down for them.
Absolutely. I use Judo against wrestlers all the time. If they sprawl, then try to use it against them. For example, if I were to try and use O Soto Gari against a wrestler and he sprawled, I would switch to something like Hiza Guruma, or sasae tsurikomi ashi.
You should look for a Nakamura highlight in MMA.. He threw Kevin Randleman with o-uchi-gari (very nice!)... And other wrestlers and also other BJJers... Take a look at how he did, maybe you'll get a grasp of how doing it yourself!
A good way to grasp the concept of a new tecnique or combination:
Do uchikomi on someone who already knows the tecnique very good, and have him do uchikomi and throw you too.
It is also very important to resist the throw, to understand the mechanics..
It is very difficult to "keep it real" when doing uchikomi. It helps if your uke(trainingpartner) focuses as much as you do, and react as it was real randori. Good luck, and message me with your opinions =)

Judo is actually really useful vs. straight up wrestlers, they can sprawl, but you cant sprawl against high center of gravity throws.

punch them first or do anything to distract...when they lose balance, do a throw that comes naturally...

I always wondered what was a practical way to use osodo gari, I've never been able to use it in a match effectively...I will have to try that combo!
