My friend had a similar experience, another possible issue you might run into is if you try to record over 30mins the camera will stop recording once it reaches that point, if you can see it or are filming skits it will be unnoticed till its too late...

Have you checked out the Kodak Z8 cams I like that they are 1080 and you can plug a mic in to them but Im still using a Flip Ultra. I bought a Canon Rebel T2i but its only good to do projects with others you cant really carry it around a vlog with it.

I guess Sony figures bloggers don't point the cameras at themselves, so they didn't see a need to put a red light on the front. : ) When I got my first subscriber, after 2 years without posting a video, I was baffled. I couldn't understand why anyone would subscribe to someone who didn't post videos. I guess I still have things to learn.

I really dig the picture quality of the Bloggie. As far as the name goes, youtube still calls the "People and Blogs" section. Plus according to wikipedia the origin of the word "blog" does not strictly refer to text, it's a melding of "web log" so it could be in any form. If anything the term "vlog" would be a melding of "video blog" which I think is a term lots of people hate. Okay sorry I really ran with that XD
