how do you get the android market and how do you set up your google account?

@padard the android market is installed by default. You setup your google account under settings.

@zollotech i installed the htc magic rom with firmware 2.2 and it did not have the android market app or the gmail app. When i rebooted my phone after applying the update, it only had a couple apps with no android market or gmail.

Yes it should work just fine.  The my touch used in this video came with 1.5 and was upgraded just like yours.

Mine DIDN'T come with 1.6 but i upgraded mine. Will this still work?

fast test rom so far is very good i recommend it

i could downgrade to 1.5 i dont have the new mytouch 1.2 but im still not really hook to the rooting maybe i will just wait for the 2.1 update and if they dont theni will downgrade to 1.5 and root it. But recovering back to 1.5 is just a rom
