Speaking as a Filipino-Canadian who grew up around many cultures, I think the filipino community is overeacting. I crack jokes at many of friends, of their culture, such as vietnamese, jamacian, mexican ext. In multicultural areas like Canada and the U.S. these jokes aren't a big deal.
