Compelling song and video, however the rainbow is a fake. To quote Wikipedia (and any number of optics textbooks):

"The position of a rainbow in the sky is always in the opposite direction of the Sun with respect to the observer"

Good stuff either way, but less cool when you know it's someone with a video compositing program, slowly turning up the rainbow knob.

Anyway, this was always my favorite song on 23. Now what I hate about BR is how they just play over pre-recorded music live like in this song. I love them but I think that's weak and it really tones down the live experience.

For god's sake HIRE a keyboardist, a rhythm guitarist, and especially a bass player which they need live!

Personally, I think this video is perfect. the tones and simplicity match the song very well. The melancholic, soft vocals kind of drifting above the melody are like the rainbow, with the soft musical undercurrent being the metropolis, not as colorful or focused on.
