Canada has changed, it could again if it wanted. The US has technically changed in 1959 and 1910ish, and wants to add again.
Yes. Good idea. The new flag has to be simple and easily recognised. The best colours are red and white. Think of the Japanese flag. Easy to draw and instantly known. The Swiss flag is a good one also. Everyone knows it. The old USSR flag was known also. All these flags are red and white. Who can draw the present day Australian flag? Too complicated. Too many colours.

Monarchy is brainwash to keep the "lower orders" bluffed and in place: the ruling class chooses a monarch/prince from among their number, and use him or her to bluff the people that they are inferior to the better-off people, who inevitably RESEMBLE the monarch (the ruling class!). No larger country has it anymore except the English, who find it useful: their territory is small and flat, and the weather depressing. So that is the technique they use to keep themselves apart. Actually the two islands off Newfoundland several times have talked abou joining Canada, and it's been an ongoing political debate, and Bermuda has thought about it too. Do some research before you act like you know eeverything,
Ok, first of all, Bermuda isn't a nation, it's a Overseas territory of Britain, and it's alot coloser to Canada then the UK I might add. Second of all, how do you know they hacen't considered joining Canada? I've done the research, and can say that they have. Unless you can properly counter that, shut up and stop making yourself look ignorant.
oh i just find it amusing how people like you have nothing better to do than worry about taking over other countries. grow up, most countries got over the idea of having empires centuries ago
This has nothing to do with taking over countries and forming empires. You know nothing about the historical debate over St Pierre & Miquelon. Joining Canada would give them a better life, and numerous times their island council has considered joining us. Their economy is based on fishing, and right now because they're inside our waters, they have a very small fishing area, joining would give them access to the Grand Banks, one of the richest fishing banks in the world.
bermuda has home rule like greenland, they have there conomy and military managed by the u.k but they are in all respects independent, britain ensures there economy is stable with regular cash injections and try to involve it in europe to ensure shared wealth,it is far wealthier than the surrounding islands and as they manage there own island independence is a matter of home vote, which britain would almost certainly approve
And how does it make us look Empirical and Expansionist when they themselves(Bermuda, AND St. Pierre/Miquelon) have considered joining our nation? Because we agree and think they should join us?
"we agree" you mean a few randoms on youtube and in the country. just because a country considers doing something doesnt it mean that public sentiment is in favour of it
Yes, that's EXACTLY what I mean by "We", myself, and others both on here, on facebook, and within the nation who agree with me. I never claimed to speak for all Canadians. That's your assumption.
greenland is more or less independent, they have control of there own land and left the e.u despite denmark being in it, denmark grant them any reforms they wish and provide them with a subsidy which helps there economy.America tried to buy it during the cold war for a huge sum of money and denmark refused on the grounds you cant sell people

Take your australasian union and shove it as far up your fucking ass it you can reach.

Independant sovereign republics with self-determination? - yes by all means.

The Australian States will be abolished in this new union you say? Funny you mention that because the states can only be removed or their boundaries altered by a referendum within the state in question. So tough luck. If you try that western australia will seceed like wanted to seventy years ago.
here's a thought if australia and new zealand join together as one republic wouldn't it make sense to include some of the polynesian nations as well? especially the former british empire ones, we all speak english, play rugby and have inherited the great consept of parlimentary democracy so it would be an easy fit together, also perhaps the name for this new republic could be the cook republic? as a recognition of a shared past, then we could refer to ourselves as cookies!
new caladonia speaks french and was/is a freanch colony if i remember right so that might not work so well, i would love to have PNG on board as well as fiji, somoa and the soloman islands
Ae, but you will strike some soveriegnty problems with France over this one however the rest of the idea is fine. Even Maori MP Hone Harawera had mooted the idea once about a possible Australian Union, at least for a set period of time. Possibly something to think about in the future.
i'm kidding bout he new caledonia, i think they will be indepedent by 2013, but i am sereious bout the australian, nz, and anartica union, and its good to know i;m not the only one that thinks that isnt a bad idea.
Although this Union could solve some problems New Zealanders are to proud to hand over their sovereignty and the Maori are a very proud people and would probably be pissed off, because the land of New Zealand is very important to them spirtually. They would hate the idea of Aotearoa being ruled by foriegn people all over again.
bout they wouldnt be ruled by Australia, dont you guys get it? they would rule themsevels, and wouldnt loose any indepedence cuz they would be assumed a seat in the house of commons and in the senate, both NZ and Maori.
if anything, both abos and maori would get even more autonomy.
I think an early NZ prime minister said it best when asked why he was against Aussie statehood for NZ. "1,200 reasons." referring to the miles across the Tasman between the two countries. I think this is true to this day. Let Australia be Australia and New Zealand be New Zealand.
Do you actually think New zealanders would be content with an australian head of state running their country, or even better yet a new zealander ruling australia?
True but newfoundland isn't new zealand, same as canada isn't australia, but i'll give you the benefit of the doubt and say this is a subject worth looking into.
I know that but before then we were all run by the empire of britain, we had no real national identities, since then we've created our own, although we do share the ANZAC indentity!
Most Kiwis would never give up their country or identity. To suggest a merger would mean the end of Kiwi institutions like the All Blacks. Any merger would be dominated by Aussies and I know Kiwis would not want that. Let's keep the two countries separate. Thank you!
A superstate of New Zealand, Antarctica and Australia? Antarctica is a barren desert inhabited by penguins. A better idea would be a Commonwealth federation, of the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and New Zealand (And any other former colonies which want to join such as South Africa or Belize) these states share a common history, a common culture and a common future, united under the same monarch such a superstate would achieve much.
Commonweath Union is better, and we want our own head of state, not the monarch of britain, and you should want a republic as well, monarchies are old fashoined and are based on the ancient idea of birth right, as in god choses the HOS, I say bullshit, we done even know if God exist, so we should pick our HOS, not "heaven"
Fine, let Kevin Rudd give away Australia to the Red Chinese in his proposed Asia-Pacific union, when the Chinese army starts dragging people off to concentration camps don't come crying to me.
Don't worry you'll be the first they take. You fool! you honestly think thats goin to happen? china hasn't been a real communist country since it adopted a free market economy. And considering the rise of china's power, do honestly think its smart to ignore china and pray the yanks will save us?
You have the monarch of Australia, the Queen is not just the Queen of the United Kingdom, she is also Queen of Canada, New Zealand and several other countries. You cannot be patriotic and want a republic, patriots love their country for what it is, not what they want it to be. Giving politicians the power to change constitutions without any higher authority is not a good idea. Look at Robert Mugabe in Zimbabwe.
don't care?no common culture?have you visited these territories(dont call them colonies it is an insult to them)i doubt you have seen them, every 1 has the right to declare independence unlike your american union
You see how dangerous these socialist ideas really are? This is what lead to Fascism and National Socialism in Europe when the leftists were threatening their expansion of communism to the west. The best way to defeat communism is with nationalism and fascism!
KangaKucha wrote; "your a blopdy fool, this has nothing to do with socalism or fascism."
You know exactly what agenda this is driven by and if you are really advocating it (as opposed to just being a trite little net troll) then you put yourself on the otherside of the fence from humanity and you will be dealt with all the lack of mercy and forebearance that you and your globalist shithead buddies would afford the rest of us.
Do something useful for the world, go suck on a car tailpipe.
I think that 'new' Australian flag is really nice, If we do become a republic, or simply follow the footsteps of Canada, I think I would like to see that as my new flag.
but by the time I;m 40, hopefully, the union will hav already happened, or in the process of happening.
Either way, I and others are the spark to set this and other things in motion, just like Karl Marx and others who never saw their ideas come into practice, but they did happen in some from or another.
Don't be calling others "c**t" about their knowledge of history. It might come back to bite your arse.
Earlier you talked about your idea of a "United Europe of States (as opposed to a "United States of Europe"). You're clearly a basement-dwelling moron.
1 i think when europe becomes a nation it will be the united states of europe or the european federation and by that point the u.k will no longer be a country, Scotland at least will have left the union
Are are still part of the U.K because we never broke free from their privately owned central bank, like the Americans did in 1776. But now they have them too with the Federal Reserve (1913) owned by the same banking cartel.
Unfortunately they are trying to draw us into a Union with Asia. I would prefer it with the whales and penguins in Antarctica.
antarctica has a ban on settlement or teritorial claims for 50 years, once over most of it will be re-recognised as europeasn, with no permanent settlers you cant make a union
The only reason I had this username is because Im a big fan of South Park and its the name of one of the songs. I dont personally think we should "blame canada".
New Zealand should not join Australia in a Union. They are two complete different countries. I believe both countries should become Republics and mantain the strong friendship that we enjoy today.
why not? why harp bout the differences when we are so simular, and besides, New Zealand to Australia is like Newfoundland was to Canada, and was with that username? Canada is a great country.
Stick with your studies mate - you'll never make a Vexiollogist. Vic flag has an 8 pointed star? Why? You have little sense of meaning and no sense of history. Sorry...
Why would you want a union mate? NZ should hav been apart of Australia in a union long ago, I dont know what Britain was thinking in 1907 awarding domonionship to NZ, ya know who else they award it too that year? NEWFOUNDLAND, and where are they now? PART OF CANADA.
Well, that was weird. But when i read you are a uni student, I started to understand. This is a utopian dream. Come back to the real world that you will have to join sooner or later.
Just wondering, would the penguins get the right to vote too. hahaha!
G'day my commonweath borther! I love Canada! :) I'm acturally seriously considering of moving to Winnipeg later in life. I'll be making a video bout Canada and another bout the Commonweath of Nations later on. My main theme of the Commonweath one will be bring our big brother, the USA and her territories, into our great organization! Thanks for the comment! Cheers mate!
no worries mate! the yanks aren't yet, but I want them and their current/former territories to be, and they could be, the latest new edision to the commonweath was Mosanbique in 94, a former portagues colony.
you spent 2 years in Australia? awesome, went do you turn 24? maybe we can meet up, although my home state is victoria.
I'm hopfully going back to Canada for the Grey Cup this year, I'm a HUGE CFL fan, I went to the one in 06, and want to do it again. Cheers mate!
ah, you would be an Toronto Argo fan, or an Ottawa Renegades fan when they reativate again. The Grey Cup was in Toronto a few months ago, it will be in Montreal next time.
Great vid. im welsh and we have the same problem of not one unified flag of all the nations in the UK, watch Future Union flag it might intrest you cheers
I think the UK is going to go though some major changes in the future, in that it will become a republic sometime after Queen Elizabeth the II, and then join the rest of westren europe in a confeduration which I dub the United Europe of States (as opposited to a United States of Europe) either as one state or several states (England, Wales, Scotland, etc.) I would prefer it remain as one state.
I'm afraid that there are millions ready to die to defend this country from the EU and the traitors within, I and many others would be perfectly prepared to assasinate politicians who want to abolish the monarchy and render the once proud British nation a mere provice of the EU Soviet. Names such as Heath, Thatcher, Major, Blair and Brown will go down in history synonymous with such names as Judas and Quisling.
The E(vil) U(nion) will be torn limb form limb and the politicians who created it will be executed, Ted Heath should have been burnt at the stake for his evil crime.
lol at the INGSOC inspired Victorian flag.
actually, its not funny at all.

The Australian States will be abolished in this new union you say? Funny you mention that because the states can only be removed or their boundaries altered by a referendum within the state in question. So tough luck. If you try that western australia will seceed like wanted to seventy years ago.
SandstoneSandgroper 3 years ago
that is unless we hav a new consitusion, whats the process on that?
and WA indepedence failed in the 1930's, it will fail in the future, especaily snice their is no economic benefit to seceding.
KangaKucha 3 years ago
why does australia have dislike for unity
Georgebushbent 2 years ago
beats me
KangaKucha 2 years ago
here's a thought if australia and new zealand join together as one republic wouldn't it make sense to include some of the polynesian nations as well? especially the former british empire ones, we all speak english, play rugby and have inherited the great consept of parlimentary democracy so it would be an easy fit together, also perhaps the name for this new republic could be the cook republic? as a recognition of a shared past, then we could refer to ourselves as cookies!
boganlewis 3 years ago 5
lol
idk if Papua new guines will be on borad, but many we can take new caledonia.
KangaKucha 3 years ago
new caladonia speaks french and was/is a freanch colony if i remember right so that might not work so well, i would love to have PNG on board as well as fiji, somoa and the soloman islands
boganlewis 3 years ago
new caledonia is prefect, alot of aussies vacation there.
KangaKucha 3 years ago
Ae, but you will strike some soveriegnty problems with France over this one however the rest of the idea is fine. Even Maori MP Hone Harawera had mooted the idea once about a possible Australian Union, at least for a set period of time. Possibly something to think about in the future.
Captaintikei 3 years ago
i'm kidding bout he new caledonia, i think they will be indepedent by 2013, but i am sereious bout the australian, nz, and anartica union, and its good to know i;m not the only one that thinks that isnt a bad idea.
KangaKucha 3 years ago
this idea is pathetic
iceborn21 3 years ago
so is your asshole.
KangaKucha 3 years ago
Although this Union could solve some problems New Zealanders are to proud to hand over their sovereignty and the Maori are a very proud people and would probably be pissed off, because the land of New Zealand is very important to them spirtually. They would hate the idea of Aotearoa being ruled by foriegn people all over again.
BlameCanada1 3 years ago 2
bout they wouldnt be ruled by Australia, dont you guys get it? they would rule themsevels, and wouldnt loose any indepedence cuz they would be assumed a seat in the house of commons and in the senate, both NZ and Maori.
if anything, both abos and maori would get even more autonomy.
KangaKucha 3 years ago
A merger of NZ and Australia? It will never happen!
jpx08 3 years ago 2
never say never mate
KangaKucha 3 years ago
I think an early NZ prime minister said it best when asked why he was against Aussie statehood for NZ. "1,200 reasons." referring to the miles across the Tasman between the two countries. I think this is true to this day. Let Australia be Australia and New Zealand be New Zealand.
jpx08 3 years ago
I have to admit the outlook of australia and new zealand getting together is dismal, to say the least.
InformationMinister 3 years ago
nope, its getting stonger.
KangaKucha 3 years ago
Do you actually think New zealanders would be content with an australian head of state running their country, or even better yet a new zealander ruling australia?
InformationMinister 3 years ago
they be just like a state, it wouldnt mean much, and it's not like they wouldnt be repersentied unfairly in a union.
you dont hear Newfoundland bitching bout being apart of Canada, do u?
KangaKucha 3 years ago
True but newfoundland isn't new zealand, same as canada isn't australia, but i'll give you the benefit of the doubt and say this is a subject worth looking into.
InformationMinister 3 years ago
alright then
its worth noting both became domionons on the same year, and new zealand was at the aussie consitutional conversion.
KangaKucha 3 years ago
I know that but before then we were all run by the empire of britain, we had no real national identities, since then we've created our own, although we do share the ANZAC indentity!
InformationMinister 3 years ago
exzaclty!
and I, as well as others, would like to take that a create a new union out of it, including anartica.
KangaKucha 3 years ago
Most Kiwis would never give up their country or identity. To suggest a merger would mean the end of Kiwi institutions like the All Blacks. Any merger would be dominated by Aussies and I know Kiwis would not want that. Let's keep the two countries separate. Thank you!
jpx08 3 years ago
your wrong, UK has several teams in both soccer, rugby, and cricket. If they wanted, the kiwis could do the same.
the maroi, the aboriginals, and the kiwis would get a fair repersentasion in the senate and house.
any meager will be on equal terms.
KangaKucha 3 years ago
Bingo! thank you, i'm not a kiwi, but i'm glad you see my point!
InformationMinister 3 years ago
why anyone would think the kiwis wouldnt get a fair share i'll never know
if anything, the aussies would be froced into a kiwi like system in any merger, cuz we would hav to reconsider the senate.
KangaKucha 3 years ago
A superstate of New Zealand, Antarctica and Australia? Antarctica is a barren desert inhabited by penguins. A better idea would be a Commonwealth federation, of the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and New Zealand (And any other former colonies which want to join such as South Africa or Belize) these states share a common history, a common culture and a common future, united under the same monarch such a superstate would achieve much.
TashkentFox 3 years ago
Commonweath Union is better, and we want our own head of state, not the monarch of britain, and you should want a republic as well, monarchies are old fashoined and are based on the ancient idea of birth right, as in god choses the HOS, I say bullshit, we done even know if God exist, so we should pick our HOS, not "heaven"
KangaKucha 3 years ago
and btw, such a union would make us out to be like America, divided like it is with Alaska and Hawaii, fuck that!
Enclaves and Exclaves suck!
KangaKucha 3 years ago
Fine, let Kevin Rudd give away Australia to the Red Chinese in his proposed Asia-Pacific union, when the Chinese army starts dragging people off to concentration camps don't come crying to me.
TashkentFox 3 years ago
Kevin Rudd has been out greatest PM snice Paul Keating, you bloddy fool!
and there has been no talk of such a union, idoit!
KangaKucha 3 years ago
Don't worry you'll be the first they take. You fool! you honestly think thats goin to happen? china hasn't been a real communist country since it adopted a free market economy. And considering the rise of china's power, do honestly think its smart to ignore china and pray the yanks will save us?
InformationMinister 3 years ago
what the fuck are you talking bout?
KangaKucha 3 years ago
I wasn't talking to you i was correcting someone else.
InformationMinister 3 years ago
my mistake
KangaKucha 3 years ago
You have the monarch of Australia, the Queen is not just the Queen of the United Kingdom, she is also Queen of Canada, New Zealand and several other countries. You cannot be patriotic and want a republic, patriots love their country for what it is, not what they want it to be. Giving politicians the power to change constitutions without any higher authority is not a good idea. Look at Robert Mugabe in Zimbabwe.
TashkentFox 3 years ago
where does she live mostly, oh in the UK, therefore she is your fucking queen, not ours!
and I can be patrioitic and want a republic in Australia, and the rest of the commonweath!
you just an tory fucking idoit.
KangaKucha 3 years ago
"patriots love their country for what it is, not what they want it to be" that's the most stupid thing I've ever heard lol.

don't care?no common culture?have you visited these territories(dont call them colonies it is an insult to them)i doubt you have seen them, every 1 has the right to declare independence unlike your american union

yep, no need for monarchy.

You see how dangerous these socialist ideas really are? This is what lead to Fascism and National Socialism in Europe when the leftists were threatening their expansion of communism to the west. The best way to defeat communism is with nationalism and fascism!

Alright. Touché. Can't help aging. Neither will you be able to.
jamesanderson4321 3 years ago
but by the time I;m 40, hopefully, the union will hav already happened, or in the process of happening.
Either way, I and others are the spark to set this and other things in motion, just like Karl Marx and others who never saw their ideas come into practice, but they did happen in some from or another.
KangaKucha 3 years ago
Karl Marx's ideas caused the deaths of 100 million people, not exactly a good example.
TashkentFox 3 years ago
they were guidelines, not rules, cunt.
KangaKucha 3 years ago
um, KangaKucha:
Don't be calling others "c**t" about their knowledge of history. It might come back to bite your arse.
Earlier you talked about your idea of a "United Europe of States (as opposed to a "United States of Europe"). You're clearly a basement-dwelling moron.
janderson4321 3 years ago
and you are? oh I see your 40! I'm 23, yoiu time has past mate, and I am the future, so just sit back and enjoy the ride.
KangaKucha 3 years ago
1 i think when europe becomes a nation it will be the united states of europe or the european federation and by that point the u.k will no longer be a country, Scotland at least will have left the union
Georgebushbent 2 years ago
If a Union were to happen then I would be wishing for a world union with the elimination of national borders. I think that may solve some problems.
BlameCanada1 3 years ago
frist things frist, we hav to form smaller unions and build up to it.
KangaKucha 3 years ago
...and who gets to rule this one world government then?
germanicelt 3 years ago
all of us, kiwi, aussie, abo, maori, etc.
democracy
KangaKucha 3 years ago
Are are still part of the U.K because we never broke free from their privately owned central bank, like the Americans did in 1776. But now they have them too with the Federal Reserve (1913) owned by the same banking cartel.
Unfortunately they are trying to draw us into a Union with Asia. I would prefer it with the whales and penguins in Antarctica.
germanicelt 3 years ago
the monarchy is what I;m more concerded bout breacking away from.
I think Australia has its own bank, not a federal resevre.
while I do see an Oceanian Union coming, I dont see an Asian one yet, thur Australia is going towards asia for economic benefits.
in either way, Aus, NZ, and antatica are moving towands their own union, indepedent of any Ocreanian or Asian one.
KangaKucha 3 years ago
antarctica has a ban on settlement or teritorial claims for 50 years, once over most of it will be re-recognised as europeasn, with no permanent settlers you cant make a union
Georgebushbent 2 years ago
watch me, maked it apart of australia/nz, but with sois like china had, it will work.
KangaKucha 2 years ago
your gona make it? gona fly 2 the moon 2?

The only reason I had this username is because Im a big fan of South Park and its the name of one of the songs. I dont personally think we should "blame canada".
BlameCanada1 3 years ago

KangaKucha 3 years ago
New Zealand should not join Australia in a Union. They are two complete different countries. I believe both countries should become Republics and mantain the strong friendship that we enjoy today.
BlameCanada1 3 years ago
why not? why harp bout the differences when we are so simular, and besides, New Zealand to Australia is like Newfoundland was to Canada, and was with that username? Canada is a great country.

A Union is a threat to Australia's soviergnty Why would You want a Union.
jimmyphack 3 years ago
Why would you want a union mate? NZ should hav been apart of Australia in a union long ago, I dont know what Britain was thinking in 1907 awarding domonionship to NZ, ya know who else they award it too that year? NEWFOUNDLAND, and where are they now? PART OF CANADA.
KangaKucha 3 years ago
Well, that was weird. But when i read you are a uni student, I started to understand. This is a utopian dream. Come back to the real world that you will have to join sooner or later.
Just wondering, would the penguins get the right to vote too. hahaha!
germanicelt 3 years ago
I am living in the real world, and some day your future grand kids will be living in this union, it will happen, get used to it, pops.

Thank You, I do like the idea of a new UK flag with Wales inculded. I'll GM about which design I love the most.
KangaKucha 4 years ago
I think the UK is going to go though some major changes in the future, in that it will become a republic sometime after Queen Elizabeth the II, and then join the rest of westren europe in a confeduration which I dub the United Europe of States (as opposited to a United States of Europe) either as one state or several states (England, Wales, Scotland, etc.) I would prefer it remain as one state.
KangaKucha 4 years ago
I'll be making a video about what I think the future of Europe and the world will be later on. Cheers! Thanks again for the comment.
KangaKucha 4 years ago
I'm afraid that there are millions ready to die to defend this country from the EU and the traitors within, I and many others would be perfectly prepared to assasinate politicians who want to abolish the monarchy and render the once proud British nation a mere provice of the EU Soviet. Names such as Heath, Thatcher, Major, Blair and Brown will go down in history synonymous with such names as Judas and Quisling.
TashkentFox 3 years ago
you are fighting agaist the enevitable, the EU will become the united europe of states, as envisioned by churchil, and other greats.
