We had some incredible lightning storms out at the Kennedy Space Center AFB and NASA this past weekend. NASA/Kennedy AFB has lightning protection for certain buildings b/c they get so many strikes. But it is s gorgeous to watch.

By far, family is my most important investment and always will be. I am just back from a few weeks of vacation and settling back into the real world again.

Amen to that! Did you ever hear the saying "The Family that prays together stays together"? Well thanks to my father growing up we said the most beautiful prayer to our Lord every Sunday night on the livingroom floor on our knees growing up, and because of that we were able to make it through some extremely diffficult times! In the end they were the ones that stood beside me always. Thanks for reminding me about family!

good video, we can prepare for trouble from government or the financial system, or make money in a bear market all we like, but at the end of the day, a severe storm, or a asteroid or some other 'act of God' could end it all regardless, and we know for sure we will have to let it all go one day anyway, so I guess there has to be a point when you find peace in the fact that any day could be our last due to completely unforeseen events, so we still have to enjoy the now too

July/August is the monsoon season here ... where the heat from the day and moisture from the South/Southeast combine to trigger some intense evening storms accompanied by great lightning shows. Ya, I'm prepared in many ways, chose a nearly depression proof career, got a couple years of food, precious metals, weapons, ammo, very healthy, very little debt, EMP proof bug out vehicle but I'm poor in the relationship department. It's just that nearly every marriage I've seen has failed and when they do things are worse than it would have been if the relationship had never been. That's why I haven't put much store in them.

Maybe things will be different after the collapse.

I grew up in West Texas and now I live in Los Angeles!

I miss SO MUCH the storms and lightning!

I used to sit on the porch with my mom and dad watching storms come in. I really miss those times :(

Here in Los Angeles most people just bitch and moan when it's hazy or it starts to sprinkle.

I really miss the windy storms that I used to watch (when they didnt hurt people)

Until I eventually move from L.A., I am VERY jealous of you right now.
