Mr. Brown completely changed the horn riff on 'Ain't It Funky Now' for his live shows almost, it seems' immediately after it came out. the original horn riff goes: "dodododododo dododododo" and the revised live version goes "dodododododo dododododododo" with an extra note in the last part. Check them out and you'll see what I mean.
This always perplexed me how Mr. Brown would change the arrangement of a tune that he had basically just recorded, and not for the better. He did the same with 'Aint It Funky Now', but that live arrangement was better than the studio version to me. I've just never understood why he changed a songs arrangement that quickly.
