Boil your milk. Pasteurization does NOT kill all of the bacteria; only MOST of it. Once you get 'bad' bacteria in your body, no matter the quantity, it can multiply to dangerous levels. Boiling milk kills ALL of the bacteria in it. Boil it in a non-aluminum pot and cool it back down in the fridge.

Tonight I've discovered, Raw or organic, Milk still has too much growth hormone & the possibility of Mad Cow. I live near a Monsanto plant (Centralia,IL.) Living in southern IL. there are MANY corn and soybean fields and I'd be willing to bet that 99.99% are GMO's. My point is that the number of cancer cases are astounding. I am 25 and never had any health problems but living here for the past year I have been diagnosed with ADHD(but refuse medication), I now am suffering tachycardia, short breaths, chest pains and have developed an allergy to walnuts(but doc says im fine). That's HUGE! I'd say 80% of my cart was USDA Organic. I know, it's by far not enough, but we have to start someplace.

Farmers in Indonesia have NO CHOICE but to buy Monsanto seeds. Any farmers that try to grow organic produce locally are breaking the law. Farmers have to buy their seeds from the government, which ONLY supply Monsanto seeds. This was part of the "deal" along with debt sold to Indonesia by the USA some years back during the Suharto era. @basspig Funny thing...You see they found out that unpasteurized milk can be drunk by people with lactose intolerance just fine, but only if the cows were fed an organic diet low in grains and high in grass (which contains natural antibiotic and protective properties for the milk. Which means.....drumroll please...given the massive amount of grain fed to our cows (because its cheaper than being organic) we inject them with man made antibiotics.

Boil your milk. Pasteurization does NOT kill all of the bacteria; only MOST of it. Once you get 'bad' bacteria in your body, no matter the quantity, it can multiply to dangerous levels. Boiling milk kills ALL of the bacteria in it. Boil it in a non-aluminum pot and cool it back down in the fridge.

@compuveg What you really should look for are A2, rBST/rBGH free cows-Jersey cattle (Promised Land is a big brand now, though I go local)+Guernsey are A2 breeds here. Jersey=the BEST producers of the best(A2)milk (no heart disease risks like A1). Holsteins-the black&white cattle-are A1(bad), produce a lot&die young (only 6yrs avg) so they're CHEAPER. Jerseys=same volume&live 2x as long(more costly but WORTH IT)! It's slightly yellowish b/c it's higher in protein&GOOD fat.Read Devil in the Milk.

Food INC is the most biased documentary I have ever seen, posing as a health concern documentary but is really a huge piece of biased political propaganda. I've been drinking a gallon of rbgh every 2-3 days for over 10 years and I feel just fine. Milk is my water.
After watching food inc I don't by Tyson products anymore. I might just stick with organic milk after this. In any case there is no confirmed study linking rbgh with human health problems.

I live near a Monsanto plant (Centralia,IL.) Living in southern IL. there are MANY corn and soybean fields and I'd be willing to bet that 99.99% are GMO's. My point is that the number of cancer cases are astounding. I am 25 and never had any health problems but living here for the past year I have been diagnosed with ADHD(but refuse medication), I now am suffering tachycardia, short breaths, chest pains and have developed an allergy to walnuts(but doc says im fine). It's not natural, ergo, BAD!

@boxa888 fwiw, We suck as consumers, but i've been trying to add organic purchases to my cart while in the store. I know it's making a difference. Yesterday I found Kraft Organic Macaroni and Cheese. That's HUGE! I'd say 80% of my cart was USDA Organic. I know, it's by far not enough, but we have to start someplace.

@boxa888 iirc the biggest problem organic farmers face is GM contamination via cross pollination (and pollen chem trails [wink]). Some say GM has polluted 90% of world soy. It's been with us for? 15 years? Part of me hopes too that consumers wake up and end GM variations going forward, but the realist knows it won't happen. As for what's already been planted, Pandora's box is open. It amazes me, the FDA knows 100% eradication on a species is impossible. Why are they so careless with GMO's?

Thank God I live in Florida and am a conservative who believes everything Fox tells me. I am glued to their flickering box , Glenn Beck is the new Jesus and the pus created in the milk by the growth hormone makes it thick and creamy. FYI purchase skimmed milk if you are offended by the pus. Most of it is removed in the process. It is actually reduced to the official measure of about one zit load per serving.

(continued) I came across a scientific study not too long ago and it was difficult for those conducting the study to actually find non-GMO soy to compare it to GMO soy in the experiment (they fed it to rodents and observed their ability to procreate).
Guarantees and 3rd party certification are not immune from the type of corruption unearthed by the reporters in this story either. The parties involved know that next to nobody has the resources to critically evaluation their claims/results.
