Hope that some of the Republicans that support the bill are unable to make it. So the total body if everyone is present is 134. Which then is 72- (Republican Public No's) = 70. @sayork1983 In my opinion.... How confusing is it for children to have two moms or two dads. So, who is mom and who is dad, or is one mom and one mommy, ect. Given the protection of children, I believe in one man/one woman and children should be raised that way. If it's so important to get married, go to the five states that allow it. I couldn't imagine the child I gave up for adoption to be raided by a gay couple. I want him to have a mother and a father.

Did you know that children raised by committed gay parents turn out as well-adjusted as children raised by str8 parents? @Andrea237618 Voting for a constitutional referendum to ban legal recognition of marriage between same sex couples doesn't solve the alleged problem. This vote isn't going to somehow get rid of same sex couples, nor is it going to keep same sex couples from building families. What this vote does is compromise the tax benefits and legal responsibilities awarded to these couples, so ultimately if these children are allegedly so bad off, then wouldn't this make their lives even worse off?
