  • I have owned two saddlebreds, not for show just to ride for pleasure. Great stamina, even kept his head when he smelled the grizzly

  • Where is the hunters (over fences)?

  • @carolinemwitt I couldn't find any videos of that at the time I made this.

  • Hi, love the concept of this vid - Ive got two purebreds - but why dont you allow playback on iphones? I only have an old laptop and cant replay a lot of good vids except on my phone. So I've only seen your footage in like still frame shots! Can you make it available for iphones? Pleeeeease?

  • No it's true there kept in side for there eyes to pop out! My horse Charlie has bug eyes! Looked up these cause an bingo there kept in! Also a sickening thing!

  • Sadly it's true they do break there tails so they cant move it so it stays pritty! It's sick that they cant swat flys or anything

  • Yes the gaits are natural though!

  • "They arent built properly" That is true! They arent built properly at all! They put some much junk on these horses at the age of two an start working them none stop everyday! Why do they do that so they can keep the horses fourm! They want to keep the baby body so it's thin an tall! They dont normally grow fully, they are truly not built properly!

  • "Thoes horses heads are forced like that" They arent always but there is some trainers that put them up in cases an get there neck super stiff so that it stays upp whenever! They also jerk on them to lift! Btw remmber i still love saddlebreds but they have downsiders that not all of you know!

  • I am myself a saddleseat rider an most horses i ever get on are Saddlebreds! but the beginning of this video there are actully true! Soo i'll tell yuh silly people the downside of these horses! I'v been riding them since i was 3 honest to god an through the years i'v noticed too much! The first one "Saddlebreds dont naturlly move like that" Well they actully dont! They have 3 pad weights on the front an 2 in a half pad weights on the back! Saddlebreds rarly have natural action today!

  • hey you know the palimono saddlebred stallion doing cowboy dressage my ranch used to own him!!! and i and breeding him to my saddlebreeds o.0 crazy right!

  • nice job! my saddlebred is also a wonderful trail horse haha

  • Great video! I ride Arabs and feel the same way when people say they are just hot- headed halter horses! ASBs are great horses, but I am just guessing that most of the barrel horses/hunt seat horses are half ASBs, just because their necks are set much higher and they do naturally pick up higher, which would make barrels very hard. Really nice video :)

  • @miller4324

Thanks :) but no, every horse I used was full ASB. None of those were half. Plus full ASBs can do hunt seat. That's what I do with my horse.

  • @aznssaywhaat Wow! those barrel racers are impressive! and gorgeous hunters :)

  • @HayleyBug552

Yes, as long as I ger credit I don't mind!

  • Awesome video! People need to start seeing that gaited horses are very versatile!

  • i hate when people say that saddlebreds are mistreated & mean & they can only do saddle seat. they can do anything any other horse out there can do. any breed of horse out there could do any discipline if it got the right training. yea saddlebred's may look a little fancier than most horses but they can do anything.

    love the videooo!(:

  • Thank you SO VERY MUCH for creating this video. I think there are SOOO many misunderstandings about American Saddlebreds, and Saddleseat competitors as well... I am not going to deny that some people DO use cruel methods, but the majority are not treated cruelly. I am the proud owner of two American Saddlebreds. I would not hurt them FOR THE WORLD. Thanks again for this movie :)

  • Because im a creeper :) and have stalked your videos, i saw this. Sweety. You just showed all those haters. WELL DONE. <3

And that cruelness? There is always going to be a cruel method in EVERY form of riding.... idiots :)

  • @ilovetheponyskittles

    Exactly! Thank you! :)

  • I rode American Saddlebreds competitively before I joined the Army & have always had a soft spot for the breed. Even though I have Paints & a gaited horse (SSH) I am on a Saddlebred yahoogroups list.

  • Good job with this. The American Saddlebred has the heritage, stamina and versatility to do it all. They were one of the major breeds in the settlement of the west. Fun to see recognition given to their versatility.

  • i barrel race saddlebreds their amazing athletes.

  • hay you kno wthat palimono saddlebred doing cowbot dresssage that was one of my old horses actuly i have 5 saddlebreds and they can do that also the palomino stallion doing dressage is named golden warrior i call him gw and i am AI him to one of my black saddlebreds lol

  • youre AMAZING!

  • my uncle owns to saddlebreds, and they are purely trail horses, never have been shown, EVER!!! when i go down to his house i trail ride and jump

  • This video is AMAZING!!

  • YES!!!!! I do English pleasure with my saddlebred! & I do jump him sometimes! ^^

  • you go girl! I jump, barrel race, do endurance,do huntseat AND saddleseat with saddlebreds. They can do anything!!!!!!!

  • looove the clip of blackberry delight! great video!!

  • Very Nicely said!!

  • That was an awesome video =] i rated 5 stars =] loved the song it went really good with the video

  • @2hearts1dream97 Thanks!! :D

  • Your welcome.. im soo excited to show fred this year we had a AWESOME lesson the other day =]

  • @2hearts1dream97

um, you're showing fred this year?

  • Ya i thought charlene told you?

  • No. I don't believe anyone is supposed to be showing him besides me this summer...and Briana at fair. Charlene has told me a million times he can't be ridden that much at shows. So idk.

  • Sorry i didnt know you did not know that..charlene told me about 4 lesson ago that i should show fred this year cuz we look really good and i have been having lesson's on him to practice !

  • @2hearts1dream97

well yea, i'm going to have to talk to her about that. :/

  • Well sorry its not my fault! i didnt say "charlene i want to show fred this year so can i" she asked me and i agreed i didnt know this was going to be a problem

  • @2hearts1dream97

didn't say it was your fault, just saying it may be a problem and i need to talk to her. after all, he is my horse, and i wasn't planning on anybody showing him besides me. he is going to be nothing as a saddleseat horse if he is being shown in a bunch of classes. so i need to talk to her.. that's all. didn't blame you.

  • Well you just seem all mad..and if it is that big of a deal and yess you can do whatever you want cuz his your horse but i just wont him and i wil ask her to show somone else and if thats going to be a problem to then i wont show at all

  • @2hearts1dream97

Plus, you ride huntseat and he can only go in one hunt class... which I'd be showing in. So unless you're doing walk/trot... I don't know how that's going to work. I'd have to talk to her.

  • She said i was doing walk trot canter so idk whats going on i thought she figured this out with you..im sorry i dnt want you to be mad she asked and said i should show him and i agreed

  • i agree full any breed can do anything
