In my updated version of The Portuguese Alphabet I have corrected my pronunciation of the letter X On this one it sounds like I am saying the Portuguese word for chalk!
Hi hldaniel - yes it's the European Portuguese alphabet. I can understand some Brazilian Portuguese although I find it much harder because I am so used to hearing European acceent.
Wow! I wonder when you are supposed to breathe? :-)
I just found Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis which is apparently the longest word in English - a kind of lung disease apparently. I'd never heard of it. I still thought it was antidisestablishmentarianism was our longest word!
Are you learning portuguese from brazil or portugal? By the way you pronounciate the words and letters seems like portuguese from Portugal. Even thought it´s all perfectly pronounciated.
If you need some help with the brazilian portuguese just drop a line. Cheers, Rick
Wow, it's about time, isn't it? Obrigada for doing this, Senhora Whitehorse; after seeing all the Brazilian online, hearing correct Portuguese spoken is literally music to my ears. Obrigada obrigada obrigada... she's close enough...
Thankyou for your comment - it's good for me to learn more. I am going back to my Portuguese class next week so I will listen closely to the pronunciation of G and J and correct what I am saying. My teacher however told me it was 'guitarra' - I will ask her about that. She's from Portugal :-)
o video esta fantastico mas talvez deva melhorar a prenunciação da letra X!

Parabéns. A pronúncia é quase perfeita. Só um p.s.: o W não se lê como duplo vê, no português brasileiro ele é lido como "dablio".

Hi! I'm portuguese (from Portugal) and i would like to correct some things, so your portuguese will get better ;-):
K (we don't say "cá".. we say "capa")
X (you say "giz" that is "Chalk", you have to say like "shh" in begining, like if you were saying "shut up"(shhh))
;-) I thing that's all! I hope you get better in portuguese each day! eheh kiss ** and thank's for teaching other youtubers!

You are saiying something like "gay" in letter G...
actually, is "Gê" , something like "jay", but without the "y".
In portuguese, we use "guitarra" just for eletric guitar... to classical guitar we use "violão"...
And one more thing... in letter "X", you are saiying "jis", its stronger, exactly like "she's"...

evymiller - thanks for your comment. This will be changed soon, my computer was sick but is now healthy again!
LeahWhitehorse 4 years ago
Yes, K=Ca is Brazilian Portuguese.
evymiller 4 years ago
Thankyou for your comment. Is K "Cá' in Brazilian Portuguese? I was misinformed! I shall try to change the video. Obrigada :-)
LeahWhitehorse 4 years ago
K lê-se "capa" e não "cá"
k read's "capa" and not "Cá"
Good luck for your learning! = Boa sorte para a tua aprendizagem!
