There were peacocks wandering all over the damn place, threatening our lives, and I'll never forget the chilling, plaintive call of the angry peacocks. Its a lot louder than it sounds on this video - that call can fill a whole mountain side with noise and when they're right outside your bedroom forget about sleeping. They are nice to look at though. Dumb as all hell but nice from a distance.

They only "crow" for about an hour near dusk. Outside my bedroom window I hear Limpkins screaming at 6AM (they sound like a little kid that was hit by a car) now THATS annoying...

AMEN! And thanks much 4 the clarification...the "justice" system is such a joke in this country...can't even get animal cruelty cases right! It is so sad that people would do things like that to innocent creatures! If they are crowding out native species, that is definitely an issue...but noise should not be the deciding factor, or we may as well include children and pet dogs in the creatures to be eliminated. Any "control" for these birds, or other invasive critters should at least be humane.
