  • Beautiful tank! I would love to have one just like it :)

  • My guppies spread like hell

  • i think u have too many male guppies and few female..

  • Amerie1986 it is all about filtration if you have a better filter designed for a bigger tank your water will be crystal clear if you have a 20 gallon get 30 gallon or high filtration system and the water will crystal clear I

Once had a 60 gallon filter on a 20 gallon tank and that water was crystal clear as well. One thing when you get bigger filters for your aquarium make sure to have hiding places or somewhere the small fish can hid from the circulation since it will be stronger so you can bl

  • how do you keep your water so clear im buying a 20 gallon tank this weekend and i want to have my tank as beautiful and clear as yours

  • Nice thank... The fish look awesome in your setup.

  • no heater? sorry i'm new to this and i might be getting guppies if i don't need a filter so how have your's been going? do they need an air stone?

  • nice tank nice and colourful guppies and fry"s

  • Very good!!!!!

  • wow, very nice!

  • do you need a heater for those fish?

  • As long as the water temperature doesn't fluctuate big time it's usually ok without a heater given that your room temperature doesn't get too cold.

  • Awwwww I miss havin guppies. A few years back I got the last science guppy from school. And I brought her home se got pregnant and then killed all my other guppies. Then I named her queen of the tank. She died 2 years later. My goldfish on the other hand got stuck behind he oxygen tubes and died. Stupid thing. But I do miss my guppie. plz comment back!!!!

  • your tank is hecka sweet. where'd you buy the gups? your LFS or petco/petsmart?

  • nice guppies and tank but wont the catfish eat the fry

  • If you mean the Ottos, they are tiny and eat algae mainly, so no.

The guppies are more likely to eat the fry than anything else.

  • @tico33135 hello, the catfish can eat the frys.. what kind are ur catfish do u have?

  • @oscarfight I think he said it was ottos

  • @nuflonet how many gallons it that?

  • 70 litres / 15 gallons

  • Comment removed

  • Am I supposed to give a shit?

  • @nuflonet LMAO! reminds me of that computer comic i read

    "Attempting to give a damn...."

    Failed to give a damn!

  • @nuflonet lol hahaha!

  • @robirobrobrobirobrob ......what?

  • @wBundlesofJoyw The brand Brillux is licensed by the german company Brillux GmbH Co.Kg in muenster

    google it

  • @robirobrobrobirobrob Ah, thanks for the info

  • co2 injected? If not, what do you do (besides give them sunlight) to have your plants grow?

  • Just the light tubes, no co2 or ferts

  • Really nice planted tank.

  • will harlequin rasboras nip at fins of guppies? because im thinking of getting some guppies

  • Fish only tend to nip if they are bored. I don't know about rasboras, but for fish like tiger barbs, as long as they are in a good size group they are generally distracted enough not to go after fancy tails.

  • k i guess ill try a couple and see if they get along thx!

  • what filter you have ? your water is so clear

  • It says in the description >>>

    Fluval 205 external

  • I have baby guppies, and i don't know when to realease them, please tell me. (i have 2 male guppies, 1 rainbow shark, 1pleco and 9 baby guppies)

  • After a couple weeks they are normally big and quick enough to escape getting eaten by the adult guppies, but because of the rainbow shark I'd try for a month.

  • very good ..

  • you leave the water 24 hours before to put in the tank

  • Why would I want to do that? I run it through sediment and carbon filters before it goes in the tank.

  • but when u change 10l from where u put the water?is not from the sink?

  • It comes from the tap, and is run through 2 giant pod filters (sediment first, then carbon) this takes out large particles and removes chlorine, copper etc with the carbon.

Believe it or not, I know what I'm doing. This tank is one of 12 that I keep.

I would use a reverse osmosis system, but I also keep hard water cichlids which need the mineral content in the water.

  • so is better to do like this then put aqua safe and water conditioner?

  • Chemical treatments only neutralize the substances harmful to fish, passing the water through actual filters removes them. So yes.

  • my guppy they are sick they stay on the bottom dont swim and the the tails are fin rot

    what to do?

  • Ermm... look after them better?

Fin rot treatment would probably be a good start!

  • thank u for your help.

    all the best

  • very nice tank

what whater u use ? and you change the water every week 20% and what substance u put in the water haw many times a day u feed the and what food? and what temperature u have in tank.

    thank u

  • I use wet water, 10L change once a week (1 bucket) no "substances" are put in the water, fed once a day on "hikari fancy guppy" pellets. And the tank is kept at around 24 degrees C

  • @nuflonet You are a very patient man

  • my orange male guppy like on the body is glowing like a purple or violet. and its not even under a black light or anythin. is this rare?

  • not really

  • so y is it glowing?

  • Turn all the lights off .... if its glowing in the dark then its rare ... if not, its just another guppy

  • no its not i mean if i fish it out of the tank it still glows but other then that no.

  • Excellent looking tank I'm thinkin of making my 96 litre tank a guppy only tank after seeing yours and how do you keep your plants looking so healthy do u use light, fertllzertabz ?

  • Just the twin tubes in that tank, nothing special for the plants really other than lighting.

  • @nuflonet i have a question!!!

can you leave a baby guppy in a jar with no filteration in front of the sun to keep to water warm???

  • It'd be ok with no filtration for a while, but leaving it in front of the sun? That'd be a no, the water would get too hot when in direct sun and then too cold without it.

Realistically guppies will live relatively happy at room temperature.

But if you're set on the jar idea, why not float it in your fish tank? It'd keep the same water temperature as the tank itself and be easy to do quick water changes (using the tank water).

Best option would be to get a breeding trap and keep it in there.

  • @nuflonet

what is the lowest temperature to leave it in and when are they old enough to be taken out of the jar???

  • 18 degrees C is probably about as low as you'd want to go, but lower temperatures and smaller spaces will also mean slower growth rates. After a couple weeks at normal tank temps they are big enough to mix with the adults without too much risk of getting eaten. Obviously if you have other fish bigger than guppies you might want to leave it longer.

  • Nice guppis ! I like the HB Blue male :P

Btw please check out my videos and please sub to me,I've subbed you :D

  • @nuflonet

yes i do have bigger fish!

    i have a angel fish,

    three tuxedo fish,

    one mickey mouse platy,

    two male guppies,

    two female guppies,

    two blood fin tetras,

    and a tiger barb!!!

  • what size tank?

  • 20 gallons

  • here is what I do.

I have a 25G Tank that I keep for Minnows, Guppies, and a Crayfish (house cleaner)

I have 1 Main Male and Female Guppies for Mating in a Fish bowl.

I have 1 Main Male and Female Minnows for mating in a fish bowl.

This way, My Crayfish doesn't eat all of them chum while I am gone, and if I am not able to feed him that week, he has something to eat.

He is a Year and 2 months old, and I havn't fed him in a month. But I lose 7 Fish Max a week but gain about 9 A Week.

  • i have a cray fish in my guppy tank is it a bad idea will he eat my baby guppies he doesnt bother the big ones

  • Yes he will.. That's why if You want to mate guppies, Put a bunch of them in there for him or he will eat them... It's a very bad Idea to have lil baby guppies in there with them if you care about them being eaten.

  • thanks i put him in my piranha tank today while i try to bread some guppies can u pls tell me around how many male and female u have in your tank i have about 3 guys and 5 female is that a good ratio for breeding

  • Yeah, that is a very good ratio, and the crayfish should be able to defend himself in the pirana tank. but if you see fighting then get him out and put him in his own little tank.

The guppies should be good, you don't want to stress them out though cause they are very suspicious, So take out Alot of the Decor, sand/pebbles and everything, and only leave a small bit cause they won't breed if they feel like a preditor is hiding.

  • Are you a complete moron? I'm guessing so.

Guppies would breed if you kept them in your toilet bowl, thats all they do!

  • @mike187ism i have 4 males and 7 male guppies.

if u end up with one pregnant, right before it gives birth, put the piranha away so that it wont eat the babies.

  • Piranha eating the babies would be the least of his worries, you realise they'll demolish something the size of an oscar very very quickly??

  • good then i can create a nature aquarium of my 54litres:)

  • how much litres is your tank?

  • information is over there >>>

  • Some amazing look guppies in that tank and nicely planted too. Can i ask how are Brillux aqauriums? I was going to get one but i got the juwel rekord 800 instead. but brillux look nice also.

    A+ aqaurium!!!!!

  • Its the best built aquarium I've personally owned, very happy with it.

  • Nice tank. But I didn't see any females in it. you should put some in there because you know...it gets lonely...lol

  • Correction to myself..I did see a female when I watched it a second time. NIce tank!!!

  • 2/3rds of the guppies in there are females

  • Perfect tank!

  • many are playing with eachother:P

  • wicked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!nice tank man!

  • how many guppy can you have in a 5 gallon tank

  • Its not about the amount of water, its the surface area of the tank and the filtration that play a major part. You should never overstock a tank.

  • why not? pet stores are always over stocked.. you just need a badass filter and some badass water changes

  • There's a slight difference between long term and short term overstocking of a tank....

  • yeah i know , i was just trying to be a smartass

    sweet tank tough :P

  • Get a larger aquarium

  • nice tank, how may litres is it

  • 70 litres

  • very nice tank

  • Nice tank! Your fish r really nice colours! Can you check out mine?

    Thanks

  • How do you keep theses fresh water plants alive? (what's the secret?

  • Sufficient light mainly, you can also use CO2 injection, fertilisers, undergravel heating etc etc...

  • This tank looks great.

  • i LOVE your tank! you have set it up so well!

  • Did any of ur guppies have fry?

cause i know they have babies easily.

did u have any with that much?

  • Yeah they have babies around every 30 days.

As there were quite a few guppies in there though its hard for them to survive as they tend to get eaten.

Probably had 1 or 2 new ones make it from each batch.

  • hey if i buy a guppy from any petstore will they breed cause i heard someone saying that they stop them from breeding

  • no, it will not stop them from breeding.

  • but wont he petshop owner sort of inject them so they wont have babies other wise they wont have profit

  • A lot of people buy guppies to breed them, and I've never known anyone "injecting" them!

For egg layers, some breeders will raise the temperature of the water before the eggs hatch which renders most fish types infertile. But obviously you can't do anything like this with livebearers. I've never bought a female guppy which couldn't breed anyway.

  • so all the petshop guppies breed right

  • Well I've bought from lots of different places and have never had any problem getting them to breed.

The chances are, even if the males and females are seperated in the shop, most of the females will already be pregnant anyway. When they mate they fertilise enough eggs to be used for 3-4 months worth of batches. They'll drop a new batch of babies every 30 days or so.

  • thank for your help so much im getting my guppies tommorow with molliy platies and swordtails thanks

  • did u get them? make vid

  • ye i did i did make a video

  • of sword and molies?

  • cant find vid...

  • maybe, it really depends on the shop owner, but all my female guppies gave birth....

  • hey this is what i do when i get frys there are quite alot about 40 about 30 i put it with my adults and they get eaten the left over 10 i use it for a new batch when my adults die

  • do you know how you took care of them because usually their tails split? did that special guppy food make a difference?

  • I don't know if the special food made a difference, but it was formulated especially for fancy guppies to make their colours more vibrant and improve health, so I'd hope so!

Their tails won't just split for no reason, do you have any nippy fish in with your guppies? Or too many males to females? (Should have 2 females to every male ideally)

  • That's a really cool tank.

I have an aquarium exactly half that volume with guppies in.

  • what size tank is that

  • 70 litres

  • Nice tnak

  • nice tank and guppys :)

  • very nice tank

  • its nice but you over did it with all the fish.keep only the best of the fish ,and show them off.

  • Each to their own... I don't have the guppies anymore anyway, its now an amazon themed tank with angels and dwarf cichlids...

  • nice

  • nice

  • Very nice tank.

  • beautiful tank!!! i love your blue guppy males!!!

  • its a beatiful tank and i love the fact that u haven't overstocked it like so many people tend to do with guppies. good luck with them.

  • Nice Tank ;)

  • everyone should state tank sizes in gallons please.

  • Errrm... my video, my comments, its a 70 litre tank, I'm in the UK, I work in litres, if you don't like it, don't watch! idiot

  • u feed ur guppies wit flakes?

  • I don't have them anymore, but I used to feed them with Hikari Fancy Guppy food.

  • so 20 gallons in the U.S or 18.2 if you want the actual size. but it is about 20 gallons then

  • how many gallons is it?

  • As in my previous comment, its 70 litres.

How many gallons would depend if you're in the UK or US.

  • That looks really good. How large is that tank?

  • The tank is 2ft long, and holds about 70 litres

  • no female guppies?

  • Loads, twice as many females as males.

  • there are femmales

  • whats your fave colour guppy? mine are the plain yellow ones. but ive also seen some nice looking blue and silver ones . :)

  • Probably Yellow Cobras, or genuine Moscow Blues

  • those are diffrent types of guppies mixed with each other rite? plz reply

  • I'm not quite sure what you mean? They aren't wild strain guppies, and they aren't endlers... they are just tank bred varieties... but yes, all guppies, different colours.

  • At the very left of the tank the guppie is sliding up the wall mine does this is it normal is it the reflection

  • Its pretty normal, lots of fish do!

  • realy nice

do you know if gouramis would kill a guppy?

ive got gouramis but i would love to have a colourful fish like a guppy

  • Well there are lots of different types of Gourami, most would be safe with guppies though. I've only ever found gouramis to be aggressive amongst their own species, so guppies would be ok as long as they didn't get in the crossfire!

The only fish I wouldn't keep with guppies would be male siamese fighters or anything nippy (tiger barbs, pygmy puffers etc)

  • Ok

    thx a lot

i guess i can buy myself some

    cya

  • i love your tank, i want mine layed out like that

  • luv your tank its very pretty!

  • beautiful tank
