Mario's been in 2D and 3D, has a dinosaur pet, uses power-ups, has gadgets like F.L.U.D.D, went to outer space, has fantastic friends like Luigi, Yoshi, Peach, etc. collects 7 mystical items, defeats god-like creatures such as Shadow Queen, Dark Fawful, Cackletta Spirit, Super Dimentio, and has practically tried almost every single sport so far with great success for each one! They can say whatever they want, but as Mario fans, we know that Mario will always be the wise and true King of Gaming!

This video is just epic. Whenever I go to other fanbase sites like Sonic and Zelda (which are series I like too) everybody says that Mario doesn't change his gameplay at all, overrated, and worst of all, too "childish". This just goes to show how much video game fans have fallen sin the late 2000's. If people would actually pay attention they would know that Super Mario saved the gaming industry, is the basis of all platformers, and expanded to multiple genres like sports and RPGs with success!

What makes mario so popular than the rest of the video game characters is that he doesn't shoot people, kill people, or beat up people until they bleed. He shows a good time whether your with family, friends or yourself! He is considered the face of gaming and if your saying "Sonic's better." Mario ,and also Luigi - both of these names came from a local pizza parlor, and the founders were named Mario and Luigi Salgade(or something like that).

However, hencing the name Super MARIO Bros., Mario and Luigi's last names are just "Mario". It sounds a bit odd, but in my opinion its true. (Search wikipedia if I'm right - I could be wrong)

I don't think Nintendo introduced Mario's middle name yet.
