if you dont kil them and wound them and it falls its guna probally die from the impact i remember one time i saw run in the tree and i sat on top of the hill looking down and the tree and waited for him to come out and bam he was dead

how did you train your jack russel to look up in the tree and bark. great video.

I actually didn't have to train my jack russel, he started treeing squirrels on his own when he was little.

But to train my pups to look up in the tree and bark, I usually catch a squirrel in a cage trap and let them bark at it. Then I will hang the trap in a tree, just out of the pups reach, and praise them as they bark at the squirrel in the trap.

i use a 410 double barrel to hunt squirrels and i hammer them each time. Not need for a 12 gauge.

Thanks for the comment, lol. Yea there aim does suck but it makes hilarious video footage though. On the main video of our dvd, there is a hunt on there, you can't see them two, but you can see the squirrel that our dog has treed. When that squirrel bails out that tree it sounds like a massacre goin on when they start shootin, lol.
