thank you so much for this video! i have been reading about clipping masks all day (i want to use them in my drawings) and haven't been able to understand them, and finally it clicked! thanks a billion =)
Thanks ZeDBeE85, Yes the intro sequence was done using mainly After Effects. I used Photoshop to cut out all the elements (lights, chair and so on), then imported the .PSD into AE and with 'Lights' mainly, I created the rest. The final sound editing was does with Premiere. It's a 12 second composition, but it took way more than 12 second to create.
I'm planning to make tutorials about AE, AI, and Premiere in the future. Check my blog to stay updated ;) amigo-productions.blogspot.com
awesome tut.... but my question is how did you create your intro sequence? was it done with after effects? if so you should do tutorials on AE as well :)
I like what you are doing. Yours are so easy to grasp! You just have a way with words, I guess.
I'm catching up on the videos tonight. I LOVE the idea of files to go with your videos. That way, I can actually try what you are talking about. Though I have used clipping masks for some time now, you showed me a lot of new things in this one.
I don't get a lot of traffic on my blog, but, I will happily post a link or whatever to your tutorials.
I'm glad to hear that Smudgeman60. I do try to use easy examples so everyone understands, so I'm happy to hear its working. By the way, I don't know if you've noticed what I've written in the description, but I'm going to upload .PSD files for all of the different tutorials, so you can follow my tutorials in 'real time'. They will be posted in the new Blog I'm creating. I'll be updating soon about that;)
Where did my other comment go? :) Anyway, I was just telling you that you explain these basics very well. Since I haven't used vector masks much, this was a good overview for me.
Thank you Amigo.

Nicely done. You have a good way of teaching the basics.
