MANIPULATION, steams from fear, and the illusion of control, only very sleepy people (The gross of the world population) would get caught in this techniques of nlp, I'm by no means telling you this is bad, formulate your own opinions about that and take a look at the books of NLP.

couldn't a politician get a hold of this information and use it to his OWN advantage??

Remove your pink glasses, it's called MANIPULATION and has been used (to the present) and for over the centuries by politicians.

NLP is just a fancy name given by the penguin, of 'some' of this techniques and mindsets used in real life.
