  • this was a gift and we've had it almost a yr. i've always just cked above the shoulder to be sure her straps were tight enough when buckling her in. however, the other day she was upset in her seat and was trying to get out. she was able to loosen the straps by pulling and arching her back trying to get out! id say i could have fit more than my fist bwtn her and the chest clip. since it was a gift who do i call to get this fixed. this is so dangerous!

  • This seat was bought from a friend, not off Craigslist and the history is known. I tried it out with a child and it still did it; this is not a crash test video, just to educate parents that this is not normal or safe. I'm not sure what you mean but this seat was met by the FMVSS standards, so this should not be happening!

I received replacement seats from Evenflo for this problem. I am a CPST. This is purely educational, please no insulting remarks. Thanks.

  • Uh, you are not supposed to buy a used car seat. Duh! And, have you tested it with a kid in it? Might act differently you know with pressure distributed all around. What you show would never pass any federal or other test. Come on! Really?
